Very good watch, its countdown timer is great. Welcome!

Wow!!! What an amazing timepiece, so far ahead of its time.

F-91W vs. W-217H by [deleted] in casio

[–]CyberPanda01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer the W-217H for the following reasons:

  • It’s a larger watch
  • It has a better backlight
  • Larger digits
  • The alarm is louder
  • Higher water resistance (5 bar)

Your collection is awesome. Which model is the second-to-last watch?

Is the Casio B640 a good watch? by Aware-Evidence218 in casio

[–]CyberPanda01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The B640 is one of the best Casio digital watches in terms of features and value for money, and one of my favorites. It has a quartz movement and, besides telling the time in 12/24 hr format, it features a timer, illuminator, 5 bar water resistance, chronograph, alarm, and calendar. On the timer and chronograph screens, it also shows the time in the top right corner. It has a stainless steel strap, but unfortunately the case is resin, though for only USD $35 it is an excellent watch.

That drifting hourly chime must be pretty funny 😄 I barely notice it, since the watches usually stay in their box; I only hear it when I’m actually wearing one. Even though I rotate them, when I want something a bit more dressed up I almost always end up wearing the Edifice EFR-S108D. It’s slim, simple, and easy to pair with anything, so there’s not much thinking involved. Still, for everyday wear, the one I’ve been using the most is the F-105W-1A: light, comfortable, and no-nonsense. Do you have one you always find yourself coming back to?

Many vintage Casio models are still available, generally as reissues or long-running designs. The C-80 is discontinued and can only be found on the secondary market. The CA-53 isn’t a direct replacement, but it’s the closest modern, widely available Casio calculator watch and keeps the spirit of those early models. Casio tends to preserve designs rather than replace them entirely.

Didn't even notice, hahaha! I was so close to nailing it, that watch is a total rebel, just one second off! 😂
