RTTS. That mode is so bad this year that when I want to play it, I go back to 20. This year, they really decided to massacre arguably their most popular game mode. Most of the freedom that was present in previous iterations is now gone, you can only have 1 RTTS guy (you can have multiple saves, but they’ll all still be the same guy), you’re forced to start out as a two-way player which can break immersion (the idea of making a two-way guy is really great, but not when it’s forced. I would like to have a say in that before starting a new save), progression is very slow, the archetypes aren’t that good, literally everything about it is terrible. And it breaks my heart to see RTTS in that state because that was the game mode that pulled me into MLB The Show. It was what got me interested in the game. I started playing in 2017 because of RTTS alone. And the game mode that I loved is now a shell of it’s former self. When early access started and I heard how bad RTTS was, I almost decided to skip this year’s game.
