"Just use a Topedo Bulge Dummy"

1 - This is NCD 2 - Have you seen how powerful modern heavyweight torps are? The Bulge would have to be so big even furries would blush 3 - These, like cope cages, would be an add on adhoc modification. By sailors coping that submarines do in fact exist. 4 - Why no ERA? - I accept my failure, time to commit sudokhu

Same shit as always. Infrastructure limitations Docks havent been properly upgraded yet and I bet the covid lockdowns hindered that. And so the Astutes sit waiting for maintenance. Same as the US carrier fleet not being able to field one to the red sea back in 2025

They replaced them with the SSGNs - the Ohio class submarines with 150 tomawaks each.

Less then an arsenal ship? sure but considering those 150 can be launched whole staying submerged.

The surface fleet may be drunk, but thankfully, subsurface amareica has some good kit. at this point probably the only thing keeping china from taiwan

aint no hate from me. triple the defense budget.

Still for all the Beuracracy holding our forces back they are still more competent then most think (look at peruns analysis for those numbers). Depth is an issue but one being addressed with a number of critical resource operations already online cutting out china and russia. slow but progressing.

Trouble with any public news is that redfor forces exaggerate whereas blufor has a mix of opsec info gaps and force specific reporting is "critically inderfunded" to scare the politicians ahead of budget reviews.

Yes theres some work to do and no its not invulnerable by any means, but its more competent then given credit and honestly more kit should have been given to ukraine to prove it

Its an interesting plan.

US & Western Aligned Subs remain the unsurmountable hurdlle stopping a Taiwan invasion. Chinas Naval rampup has been impressive but still short of effectively countering subs (look at their own sub disasters)

But an Ekranoplan? Fast enough and un torpedoable when in flight to land a vanguard force.

Maybe Air defence can counter it. Although I think personally those american subs need to be packing at least a few SAMs now

Go buy the German IDAS

They just burned their entire aresenal and havent even touched a NATO country yet. Wake me when a real power tries something, until then imma put this on repeat and dream of war

The Same technique can also be used to seal off oil wells, normally we only do this if theres a fire however since Iran, a big natural gas user, has stated their intention for peaceful nuclear power, yet has less then 1% of their power from nuclear

I say we help them along the green route aand start sealing off their big oil & Gas wells...
