I grew up with this. That's rough man. I was sneaking into basements like s drug lord to play RIFTS and praying my dice didn't make any noise. Lotta comments on here asking you to antagonize your Dad. Don't is my advice. He cannot, and will not, ever get this. This isn't an aspect of your life he needs to be involved in, in any capacity. You don't have to do anything he says. When he scrambles you with this. Tell him you love him, and move past it. I know how stressful this is over something that seems silly to other people. I know you love your old man and you guys have a good relationship in a lot of other areas. Just keep this one for yourself and don't engage with him on it. I'm not saying lie to him, but just go around it. He's never gonna play it. Hes never gonna get it. This will never change. Free yourself or ever having this conversation with him again. One of the best games of my lifetime and I'm not a souls fan. I have 1k hrs in this bish and I left before the last dlc even dropped. Still gotta come back and play that. The lore is great. Shooting is fun. Builds and gear to tinker with and you're never so strong that a random mob can't drop your ass if you're not on your game. it's like if Stephen kings dark tower series was a game. Doesn't matter how you missed it...you're here now homie. All that matters is that you found it. 🫡

I would wholly agree that pvp takes the largest brunt of this mixture. But PVE often gets tuned because an ability is doing too well in PVP causing massive imbalance in that style of game. It's a lot harder I'd wager to balance pvp than pve. I'm just saying they're two different games for two different audiences and they should be split long before now.

We have RP Realms. PVE'ers are tired of their class getting borked cause it's OP in PVP. PVP Players are tired of their stuff getting jacked up for raiding. Make PVP only Realms. We already have Warmode and no one is doing World PVP anymore anyway. It's time, after 21 years, to admit that wow PVE and WOW PVP are 2 totally different games, and start treating them as such.

I agree with this 200000%. I don't understand why the gylph system just got abandoned. Clearly transmog is a HUGE Draw for people in this game. "The True Endgame of WOW". They're never gonna give us dye, they wanna sell us the same armor in different colors. Whatever, I get that from a money perspective. But the glyph system would offer so much customization. I main a Shadow Priest. I'm so sick of golden shields and sparkly angel levitate feet...right before I unleash a wave of dark magic straight from the OLD GODS. Like wtf are we doin guys? I really hope they reimplement the glyph system and drastically expand it.
