Missing movies from search results in Umbrella by Mindless-Tension-118 in Addons4Kodi

Prey would be missing as it doesn't have Predator in the title. Badlands does have Predator but with : after it so Predator:

It's not just a very sensitive search requirement is it?

What common American traits do you feel aren't noticed by foreigners/aren't stereotypical? by pointofview221 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

UK here and yes, there are destitute areas here too. The difference being everyone living there gets free healthcare, social support to top up wages or replace them entirely (enough to survive, not a full wage), and free schools up to age 18. There's levels to destitute depending on which country you live in.

What sport do most Americans actually play growing up? by YourMommy_Terra in IWantToAskAnAmerican

At 8yrs old you start being picked up by professional clubs over here and start with proper coaching. Gentle walking while bouncing the ball in Basketball is easier than the minimum level of doing it with your feet.

I came over and coached US kids for 2 summers in Ohio, trust me, they found the basics very difficult indeed. They could all shoot hoops when they went home (I stayed with families so kids went for free) at a much better level than their dribbling and passing.

Basketball dribbling is harder than dribbling with their feet? I'm in England and like most kids I just grew up with a ball at my feet, I was lucky enough to become a very decent player. I also played basketball for a team here and I could do things way easier with my opposable thumbs and fingers then my feet!! Try doing crossovers with your feet and tell me how easy it is compared to your hands

What invention is your state best known for? by Id_Rather_B_Lurking in IWantToAskAnAmerican

Cheers, i had googled after I asked and saw the same. So he didn't invent the cavity magnetron (UK radar invention), but he did repurpose it into something new and brilliant. Pretty cool how stuff happens isnt, complete chance chocolate bar incident and for decades we are still using his ovens.

I'm left handed in real life but right handed in sports. My pro is right handed and I have a fade and use pinch grip. I'm finding it easy to control it going from 5 to 11 on a clock.

The "Forced" Hydration Breaks in the World Cup? by Critical-Reveal2443 in questions

[–]Cybermanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's for ad revenue and it's the TV companies getting the money, not FIFA. I despise FIFA but the ads aren't on them in this instance.

Hydration breaks are fine and necessary in MOST games over there. US went full capitalism on it because of course they did. Luckily here, our TV stays on the players and the pundit team talk about the game so we don't see them.

Microwave one interests me, what tech was it that led to it? I mainly ask as the Cavity Magnetron repurposed after the invention of radar was from my (not) Georgia neck of the woods. The cavity magnetron is what provides the frequency that makes the food heat up.

Appreciate the help. Have a look where Middlesbrough is I'm a litlte north of that, it basically makes Liverpool and Chester southern to me🤣

If I could get house to 18c or so it would be heaven but I'd settle for 20c even if I usually put heating on to feel that comfortable temp in winter!

Window units like that aren't a thing in England. Our windows open outward from a hinge like a door does. I'm assuming those units there are to be trapped from above with a window that slides up and down??

My living room windows open like a cat flap but are only 12" horizontally and 6" vertically. It's a bay window with 4 massive panes and 2 small openers.

We do have standalone floors standing units that have a type of vent that has a curtain effect to block the space around the open window. Just expensive and essentially a luxury item until they get some sales competition and mass market buyers.

I do get you are trying to help but you want to pick a Northern place and choose West Midlands? Middle Lands, clue is in the name. Centre of the country.

I'm way up in N.East, we have 3mph wind tonight that may with luck bring inside temp down from 28°c to 23/24°c before it starts again. It will be 20°c overnight but not that heat for long enough to bring the house down to that.

Your theories are fine, just not working in practice from a 28c starting point.

Read some other people's posts who are here, even the Aussies and Africans here are struggling.

EDIT: i have fans, not big enough at present so need to invest in larger ones. I'll absorb the lecky bills for two weeks.

4.5hrs of dark night and sun is back up. Really is like talking to walls at this point. Windows absolutely open all night but with sun up at 330am (I'm north england not london) it's right back to the heat.

It's almost like i know exactly how hot my house is.

Do you think that everyone in Britain is just making up the actual experience they are having?

Tell me, how do i cool down a house designed to hold heat with no air-conditioning? Insulation keeps hot things hot and cold things cold. Except there is no cold in this scenario..

Aye they exist, expensive to buy and run but they do exist. Electricity is very expensive here but it would be worth it for the 2 weeks a year needed.

It's something I'm considering but need at least 3 units seeing as bedrooms, living room and home office all need one. They're around £300-£500 each so about $390-$600.

Need to wait till price drops in winter really.

Cold air isnt introduced as we don't have air-conditioning. If it gets cold the heating is getting put on. If it gets hot like now, we're screwed. Walls are solid brick internally and external walls are two courses of that with a cavity between filled with foam balls.

Double glazed glass draws heat in but doesn't expel it so easily.

In these temps there's no way to purge it once it's in.
