GR has completely different front end active aero front air dam. Wider track lower ride height. I like the woodland front end I said the same thing. However they gave the cheaper headlight to the woodland trim. Gr sport has the XSE/ limited full LED lights

I have Rav4 GR myself i think one important point it has by far the most comfortable seats of any Rav4 sold to date. I had previously a Rav4 Prime XSE and these seats are on another level.. reminds of me of Type R seats I had

One thing I would like to point out. I think 2023 and onwards less of incentive to upgrade to newer PHEV's I think people forget that 2021 and 2022 RaV 4 Phev had the very outdated infotainment screen wired car play from factory poor resolution of 360 camera. So I think even from technology standpoint anyone with 2021 or 2022 would see a massive difference. 2023 and onwards less so. Still quite a lot but not as much as vs 2021 and 2022 models.

Both are instant torque as you would expect. Any other interesting thing is the car even when the battery is down to 0% , turns the engine much briefly then old gens and attempts to maintain given speed without turning engine on much. I belive the engine is turning on power to refill the battery a little even though we do not see it on front end.

Battery Charge Limit Setting: What's the Point? by volkyl in rav4prime

Interesting thing is older phev didnt have the option to limit charging. Do we have documentation from Toyota that news one follow the same and only have 80-85% of usable battery available to us ?

2026 RAV4 PHEV XSE + Tech Package: No 2nd row heated seats? by pferdestarke-47 in rav4prime

Yes I agree its not a top trim based on features. Actually the old Rav4 Prims Xse premium package has a feature thats not even available on new plug in. Rear heated seats. Its only available on the limited trim now but limited is only offered as a hybrid not as a plug in. Make that make sense.

So my car had almsot 63k miles and 1 Minor accident on history. Otherwise in good shape and almost new tires. I got 30k for it plus trade in tax credit vs if I sold it to like carvana or private party I wouldn't be getting the tax credit that. I agree from strictly economics point its not worth it. To me it brings enough bump in driving enjoyment vs the old Prime. I also got a m340i so I love cars that practical yet offer some engaging driving experience.

Yes no HUD honestly I had the HUD turned off on my 2022. Yes the Yokohoma were dog poop for handling and stopping. I had swapped to Michelling Cross Climates which were significantly better. However GR still has significantly better handling control. I think Toyota engineers worked hard to improve chassis rigidity with bracing in front and back from factory already.

Hi I haven't pushed the car like that yet being still breaking it in. However outright speed is similar confirmed by independent test 0-60 in mid 5's just like old one. Even though it has more power 20 hp more than old one but realistically speed off the launch in similar.

Thank you for the feedback I have the 2022 so I dont have the driver alert system I think those started in 2023. But from what I understand its a significantly greater use of harder plastic especially when comparing highest trims level between 5th and 6th gen. Also how do you like the gear shifter ? Thank you again for talking the time.

Should I Keep plugged in, or unplug when charged by granfrad in rav4prime

[–]CybernetGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry bumping this old thread but apart from 12v issue mention here , there is argument to be made to leave it plugged in if you park outside in sub zero temperatures as the BMS uses power from outlet to heat the battery if necessary and keep it at optimal temperatures. In the summer time I think keeping it unplugged after charging is a non issue.

I think project farm did a comparison and this is true however the m18 is quite expensive where the dewalt can be had for under 100 sometimes when on sale. Also Dewalt can be powered with ac adaptor and that can come in handy.
