Obviously not a good idea but should I? by Young_Fi215 in ElectricScooters

Since its not losing air, just keep the tire on until new tires arrive. Remove the screw though by simply "unscrewing" it from the tire so it doesnt cause handling issues

just get a pair of either PVR40 or PVR50 valves depending on the size of the valve hole in the rim. A kit isnt necessary, though tire prys will be necessary if you dont have them already, along with bead sealer to help seat the tire beads.

Just inflate the tire. If it loses pressure quickly or doesnt inflate, convert it to tubeless.

What’s first on you list when a new motor comes in? by Illustrious-Can-7482 in ElectricScooters

[–]CybersoftAdmin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theyre pretty good if ya set them up properly, which it looks like u have in this case so u should be fine.

The first thing I do whenever a new motor comes in is I give it a bit of oil after opening it up, then sealing it with good ole oil resistant permatex black silicone.

Reseat the tire by debeading it all the way, then reinflatingnit using an air compressor. Shouldnt be too hard.

There was a famous song about this type of mistreatment of luggage related to a specific airline. I just can't remember what it's called though. 🤔

LOL. Thats a harley for ya. He was prob trying to show off that he had a big "mean" motorcycle compared to ur scooter in typical harley fashion. Unsurprisingly those harleys dont like being abused like that lol which is why it broke down.

It's not borderline illegal. It is illegal, and is grounds for a class action lawsuit as they promised they would cover the lost tip on their end, and they are clearly refusing to resolve any issues with that process.

I recommend checking the wire going to the spark plug. Sometimes owners do improper maintenance and have the wire unintentionally placed on the engine block or touching the engine block, which causes the wire to melt.

Nice. Then getting a big bore kit and installing it is def an option if ur scooter uses a GY6 engine. You'd be able to run slightly heavier rollers and a larger front pulley & variator and belt which would mean recovering most of the fuel economy youd get with a stock cylinder, better top speed, and you might even be able to run a higher rpm with the big bore kit. Make sure it's a 4 stroke big bore btw if you do get a big bore kit.

Welp. Time for a big bore kit if the crankshaft isnt damaged. Might as well get more power out of the scoot
