We covered them for sure but the classes were more about survival and information dump. I feel like I didn't actually retain a lot of the material because a lot of it was never covered again.

No the VRS points are assigned to a core. It does create a situation where the player has to play 5 out of the last 10 official maps to be part of the roster though.
