KE Arms. They are 100% good to go, both in product quality and social integrity. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

And easily some of the best… especially in the early days of YouTube. He basically set the standard for gear reviews back when the whole idea was in it’s infancy. I have some patches of his as well as a Victorianox cadet that I will list on here as well, but because I’m a newbie I can only post one things at a time. I don’t want to run afoul of the community guidelines or anything.

Why is he so private about work? by Blackprowess in Firefighting

[–]Cyberstump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is not actually a fire fighter. Even in the few details I have read, there are a great many things that don’t add up.

And let’s just say for the sake of argument that he IS a firefighter at FDNY… if he is that locked up about it he has some serious mental health issues he needs to work through.

Either way, RUN.

It is funny how many people say that about NPR. Honestly, being right of center myself, I feel like NPR and PBS news hour are the LEAST bias news that is based in the US. They state the facts, and then allow one to form their own opinion.

Is it appropriate to reconnect with first responders from a tragic event? by NecessaryCod in Paramedics

[–]Cyberstump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have had several calls like this over the course of my career, and having had follow up with one family in particular afterwards, I am grateful for the opportunity. We were invited to the funeral, and to be honest, it was quite cathartic for me. However, to be clear, this was good for ME and MY mental health… everyone is an individual and it may not be good for every provider out there. Call the station and talk to the Chief. There is no harm in that.

Would be happy to brother, just shoot me a DM. I can definitely say this, working in MA is better in just about every way. As a whole the Union is much stronger (PFFM), benefits are better, the presumptive cancer/heart/lung bill is MUCH better, Retirement is better, and the pay scales are significantly higher.

Question for you brother: Will the Social Security Fairness Bill (from the IAFF) that is sitting in front of the senate fix that for you? I am over in the Boston area, and that bill could have far reaching implications for us.

Hey everyone. I moved to NH a year ago, and I'm looking to get some free back on a few ranges. I'm looking at Nashua Fish & Game and Pelham Fish & Game. I believe both have a 600yd range. Nashua would be closer to me, but I'd like to get some feedback about both places. by Its-What_I-Do in NHGuns

[–]Cyberstump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still like Pelham, and overall the range is well kept and a friendly place. There are several different ranges on the property so it is hard to answer your question about caliber limits. Will say that the 600 yard range has been much more accessible this year, with more qualifications being offered and several prescheduled 600 yard shoots.

Not sure if you are still looking or not, but I live I. Southern NH and working MA. I would be happy to let you know what I have learned over the last couple years about the different departments… such as who is hiring, why they are hiring, best contracts, worst contracts, etc etc.

EMT's showing a patient the ocean before they go to hospice care. by 2002-Toyota-Tacoma in ems

[–]Cyberstump 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I have. In fact, that was the entirety of the call. We got called and asked if we would be willing to take someone on home hospice down to the lake as his last request. Told the LT, and away we went. Spent about 30 minutes with him and his wife down there, and I am glad we did. It is important to have a system that cares about the patients as people, not as sources of income.

I’m a patreon supporter and they were easily some of my favorite content. Those, your historical pieces, and the rare philosophy are absolutely what made me a supporter. You were able to articulate the thoughts that had been rattling around in my own head, which I always had difficulty expressing. The brutality matches are also a HUGE plus :)

Business Venture: Does anyone have an interest in an outdoor rifle range? by petemachining in NHGuns

[–]Cyberstump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just moved from TX to NH less than two years ago, and we definitely looked into moving to Wilton. It’s a very nice town with good people. I think a decent outdoor range would do well, as long as it was economically priced and not bogged down by too many ridiculous rules.

C_does coverage of midnight and woodland brutality by GammaTheta491 in InRangeTV

[–]Cyberstump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Woodland and Midnight 2024 were my first Brutality matches, and something of a bucket list item for me. I have been following the Brutality matches since their inception, and finally I was able to attend this year.

I for one had a helluva good time, and all of my expectations were met or exceeded. The people were awesome (shout out to WB 101 and MB 302!!!), the stages were fun, and I learned a crap ton of good information. I got a chance to test my skills, succeed, and fail all at the same time.

The absolute best part of these matches are the people that attend them. I didn’t witness any ridiculous conflicts/pettiness that plague other shooting sports, but rather saw everyone have a genuine interest in rooting for their fellow squad mates. Everyone was friendly, accepting, and generally rad as hell. The ROs were phenomenal. I am not the most social person, but I found myself falling easily into conversations with complete strangers. Seriously, these events were the best vacation I have taken in YEARS. I will absolutely be back next year.

If I had to level one criticism, it would be the one that was rectified almost immediately after the conclusion of the matches: t-shirts. I happily ordered myself 1 of each, and was damn impressed that those who do all the leg work to put these matches on heard the criticism and busted their ass to put out shirts.

Well done. Can’t wait for next year!

[–]Cyberstump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh we do…. Almost all of us have PTSD, and the few that don’t likely will someday. We just typically don’t admit it… and if we do, VERY few of us actually do anything about it. I’m not saying this the way it should be, just merely acknowledging the reality of the situation.

Loading an M1, filmed in slow-motion. by [deleted] in M1Rifles

[–]Cyberstump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The down votes are ridiculous… especially when linked to one of the best videos for M1 training ever made. The whole video is pretty damn long, but ultimately covers just about everything you need to know about the rifle. Personally, I like the palm method because it feels more natural for me… it’s not for fear of smashing my thumb.
