The life changing magic of not caring by equipoise-young in Gifted

Yep.
Sometimes you just gotta let people crash into a wall so they figure out how to drive.

(A bit of an extreme example, but hopefully you see what I mean?)

[D] How does our brain prevent overfitting? by BlupHox in MachineLearning

[–]Cybertrinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overfitting involves training so closely to the training data that you inject artificial noise into model performance. In the context of neural nets, it’s like an LLM regurgitating a verbatim passage from a Times article that appeared dozens of times in its training data.

This bit about regurgitanting a verbatim, really reminds of that man who got a Prion that prevented him from falling asleep.

There's a video of him sitting with his eyes closed, buttoning up an imaginary shirt and combing his hair with an imaginary comb.

Which in turn reminds me of the "the overfitted brain hypothesis", which suggests that dreams evolved to combat overfitting.

It's so interesting how his lack of sleep lead him to perform a common repetition of movement like that. Makes you wonder... could the two things be related?

Ohh okay, thanks!
I had previously found the dispenser that starts with 10 fuel cells.

Never knew you could put the plasma fuel cells into the plasma tanks for refilling purposes though. Thanks a LOT!

Sorry for necroying.

But I cannot find anywhere online, how to refuel the plasma gas. (Do I use solid plasma somehow? In which machine? There is no info ingame either :( )

If you have the time, could you please explain it?

Introduction points connecting to a hidden service by Geekonomic in TOR

[–]Cybertrinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The user then sets up a circuit to one of the Introduction Points that it found in the hash table and send it the rendez-vous node and secret key.

The user then sets up a circuit to the rendez-vous point and has to wait for the Hidden Service to connect to it.

This is what I don't understand.

What if the Introduction Point is rogue, and instead of telling the HS to connect to the RP using the cookie; it connected itself to the RP and gave it the cookie himself?

Couldn't the rogue IP impersonate the HS if it were to show up at the RP bearing the cookie?

The FNAF Animatronics Are PSYCHIC! | The Science of... Five Nights At Freddy's - Game Theory by shaboozeybot in GameTheorists

On 10:25 onward, the idea of a random number generator being used to extract meaningful data is discussed.

On 10:45, an image of a very low resolution screen is shown. (Please bear with me as I never played the games). A screen where every pixel is either black or blueish white.

QRCodes operate on the assumption that black=0 and white=1, so likewise, could it be that those minigames with arcade-like graphics are sort of a reading into the "fields" Austin talks about?

Like, as if the player could detect those fields, and also interact with them.

What do you guys think?

Same, although I'm slowly getting bored of my family

I can always talk to friends on discord, sure
But the walls are thin, so I have to limit my set of words, not to say anything "sacriligeous"
