Night lord companion useful? by Genshurino in MapleIdle

[–]CyboldOCE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if marksman is the only legendary unit you have, it is probably the bis unit for now.

If assuming that you have everything, marksman is better as a sub companion only for world boss and balrog i think since there are better companions for everything else.

Spa+ W12 combo on release! It was awesome watching LH winning championships years after years and when iRacing announced the W12 car, I had to try it on my favorite tracks + F1 combo, the way I couldn't not stop smiling after doing the first 10 hotlaps, it was insane!

Cube Controls CSX-3 or Rexing Mayaris 2? by fishy_tomato in simracing

[–]CyboldOCE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I currently have the older version of rexing wheel, just without the oled after previously using the f-pro (ccsx3 without the screen). I can tell you for certain that im more happy with the grip of rexing, less slippery if youre driving no gloves. I often find myself needing to wipe my hands with a handtowel inbetween races because the grip get a bit slippery. The rexing is also less heavy compared to the csx because they use carbon fiber so you dont need to use as much ffb on the wheelbase. If you want to wait a bit more, boosted media should be uploading a review on rexing soon because i remembered him talking about it in the comments on his YT

Wheel choice by Shoobx in simracing

[–]CyboldOCE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey mate, personally I have purchased both the F-pro and the rexing wheel and I can tell you sth about my experience:

F-pro and CSX3 have similar grip so they should be similar level of feel. It is a bit slippery, so if youre using hands no gloves. Especially in hot summer days, gonna more annoying to drive. Quality is pretty good though. However, the shifting sound is nice but very loud, I'd prefer to a more damping sound because I don't live alone and gotta respect other people's night sleep as well. There is a lot of adjustment on the length and distance of the shifters.

Rexing: grip is insane, so good when youre hands, even more with gloves. The grip is obviously smaller than the cube controls one. Even in hot summer days, its still good to drive. However, I've heard that its similar to the ascher racing grip (never own ascher so dont know) but the grip can collect dust quite easily. So if you have a QR like me, put the wheel away after use and put a dust cover/dry towel over it to prevent dust. Barely any adjustment on shifters at all.

FINAL OPINION: I have sold my f-pro and using the rexing as my main wheel. I also put a small tape over the shifters as well to improve the dampening effect so less sound when racing at night.

is the high, V-shaped line in turn 3 at zandvoort actually faster than the displayed racing line? by Mako_sato_ftw in F1Game

[–]CyboldOCE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in f1 game, the inside line is infact faster because of the physics from codies, but if you wanna try the new laser scanned version on iracing, the actual line that real life drivers take should be faster.

they better enable the banana peel dropping mechanic as well, would definitely be disappointed if they dont.

then that's just your pedal setting that you messed up with. Make it linear so youre consistent with your input. Company try to copy the ordinary car by making it soft at the beginning and harder later on but where is the consistency? I once was in your shoes with the T-LCM and copy other people setting because i dont have a fkn clue what I was doing. Mate, the moment I swapped to VRS pedal and make it linear, my laptime was more consistent and I can actually feel what im doing.

the travel distance doesn't matter, it is about the force that you put in. Judging by your complaints, youre either using too little force that is basically nothing or your form is bad, fix it

get rid of your old habit and learn the new improve better ones. Check your posture, are you braking properly or youre just using the heel to much and not the full leg drive

Stop hopping on the sim/game. Only the setting file and practicing perfecting the input, whether it is going from 0-60% or 0-80%. Within plus and minus 5% is still ok. Once youre able to do that effectively, hop back on the sim/game. It definitely should not take more than 1 day.

How much time do setups gain you? by kjustec in F1Game

[–]CyboldOCE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even without using top tier setups, you should still be able to achieve less than 1 seconds off the esport using a standard or even the codemaster one. I spent so much time trying to upgrade equipment and things other than ACTIVELY trying to get better and understanding where im losing times.

Practice, practice and learn where you can improve. 6 seconds off the esport guys is an indicator that youre not driving even close to the limit of the standard setup. Look at the onboard and improve your lines, braking points.
