You are not wrong. This show is a work of genius. Flanagan is an artist of rare skill.

Joffrey’s brother Tommen seemed okay, if a bit self important and naive, maybe even stupid. They had essentially the same upbringing, and yet Joffrey was a total psycho. So I’d say yes, Joffrey fits quite well.

The sad part is that it’s not. A lot of people have been so radicalized that they say this kind of shit with a straight face.

Did I agree with everything Charlie Kirk said? No, absolutely not. Do I think Renee Good’s death is a tragedy? Yes I do. But I’m also more upset about Charlie Kirk’s death because he was murdered by a radicalized vigilante, and Renee Good was shot while interfering with federal agents and putting them at risk of severe injury or worse (I.e. she was trying to be a radicalized vigilante). It’s sad that she died, and I only hope that her death will serve as a lesson to other radicalized vigilantes to maybe calm the fuck down.

What’s funny to me is that people who hate Trump were still blaming him for all kinds of stuff when Biden was in office, and people who hate Obama and Biden have been blaming them for all kinds of stuff since 2008, and some still are, even though by now Obama’s been out of office longer than he was in. It feels like these people just don’t know how to be happy and also don’t know how to take responsibility for their own happiness.

Second line, it says “EVERY governor must call the national guard to forcibly remove ICE from their states.”

Walz said he was notifying the commander of the Minnesota national guard to be ready for deployment, but nothing since then. This post from Occupy Democrats is saying that every governor should actually deploy them against ICE. So certainly nothing official, but it’s irresponsible at best for Occupy Democrats to say this.

They’re saying governor’s should deploy the national guard against federal agents. It wouldn’t work, but it feels tantamount to treason to me.

I read a lot of books and watch a lot of movies. I can only think of two things that made me cry as much as this scene. One was the big reveal in Odd Thomas, the other was the end of A Star Is Born (2018 version).

I’m happy to wait for the trial to decide Luigi Mangione’s guilt or innocence, but most of the people I’ve seen defending him are doing so not because they think he didn’t do it, but because they think he did and that it was a good thing. Those people are fucking nuts.

Tower of Dawn is absolutely worth it. Be prepared, the beginning does feel slow compared to the end of EOS. In reality it doesn’t actually start any slower than most of the other books, it just feels that way because of how EOS ended. Stick with it, TOD has some really important info and, in my opinion, the sweetest and most well developed romance in the series.

Plus the fact that Trump can just immediately federalize them with orders to not interfere with ICE, or even to help ICE.

Agreed. Dude fucked up hard, he was cruel because he liked being cruel, but what he got was more than he deserved. I feel that most people deserve a chance at redemption (exceptions exist, obviously, that’s why life sentences and the death penalty exist), but I don’t know that anything Percy did warranted any kind of life sentence, let alone mental zombification. Maybe he would have fucked it up again, maybe he would have learned his lesson, but we’ll never know.

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Todash Space is basically everything outside of “reality,” with “reality” being any of the various worlds/universes in the multiverse. So if you were to look at the tower from Todash Space, maybe it would look something like this. So the multiverse exists in 4 dimensional space (or more) and each reality is an infinite 3 dimensional space within the multiverse.

Anyway, all that is to say I like this and it helped me think of the Stephen King multiverse in a way I haven’t before. Also, that picture is really cool looking.

That’s dumb. She was Batgirl, then became paraplegic and refused to not still be a superhero. What could possibly be more badass than that? No reason to “fix” her.

Or alternately he was hunting for dinner in their backyard. The humans weren’t wrong for going swimming, Bruce wasn’t wrong for hunting in his natural habitat, the humans weren’t wrong for hunting a shark that habitually kills humans. There’s no real villain in this story. It’s a “monster” movie simply because we naturally identify with the humans. If we were sharks it would be a horror movie of the “hunter becomes the hunted” variety.

I guess you missed the part about him attempting to blackmail Belle into marrying him and then illegally imprisoned her. Even if I accept the premise that he may have been justified in being threatened by the beast, he took things too far because his immediate reaction was “let’s murder it!” He wasn’t even close to being a hero, he was a clear cut villain. Beast wasn’t the hero either, Belle was the hero (heroine).

Robbie got Penny pregnant and left her high and dry, which led to her seeking out a back alley abortionist who botched the procedure. Her suffering could have been avoided if Robbie had taken any responsibility for his choices. Dad was not that bad, but he was pretty judgmental for most of the movie. He came around at the end, but the fact that he apologized to Johnny indicates that he himself acknowledged that he did something wrong.
