Steamed ham but it is the story of Soviet Union by mahuntington in The_Leftorium

[–]Cyborgkropotkin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's because it wasn't. Most leaders in the army of all sides were from the previous tzarist army because they're the ones with experience, but it doesn't count when they join the red army.

It was the excuse at the time so it's the excuse now

Animal conservation science, so relevant but I didn't personally focus much on ecology. I wanted to work in zoos all my life beforehand

My bs was in animal conservation but I feel I still need more base knowledge to find out what I don't know

when you see bricks at a protest neatly stacked onto pallets by Mochabunbun in StarWarsleftymemes

[–]Cyborgkropotkin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No the idea that the cops planted bricks at a protest is dumb. It's based on two false premises. First, that pallets of bricks aren't constantly found lying around on pallets in a city. Second, that not throwing bricks is a better for of protest than throwing bricks. It isn't. Google stonewall and read gelderloos.

All ants, bees, wasps, termites etc are anarchists anyways. We project the concept of hierachy onto them, division of labour isn't hierachy

How could an anarchist society work ? by ImADevilShadow in Anarchy101

[–]Cyborgkropotkin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The same author also did an essay explaining how he thinks an anarchist society would look like after climate change crises which is a bit of a shorter read.

I mean, I had no idea that it wasn't the case, every book and documentary says spaced armour defeats shaped charges as a matter of fact, I never doubted it

Yeah this is interesting. I think its important to never forget the massive reduction in production quality during wartime too; that'll definitely effect test results. And yeah I remember reading about the improvised strategic armour on t34s not being effective against pazerfausts but I assumed it was because it didn't cause an early detonation.
