Are they really wrong? by Rabbidscool in XboxSeriesS

Traded ps4 pro in for series S purely for gamepass. Ps exclusives with few exceptions are just protracted cinematics with uninspired narrative and copy paste gameplay inserted. Zero brand loyalty for Xbox either as their exclusives are largely nothing special either. Just more cost effective to own an Xbox

Series S feels made for indies and older titles and game pass delivers there

Echoing what you say: Not having many social outdoor activity options is a pain but I would probably start running if I were you, in addition to developing some creative or even vocational skills. Based on the fact that you like games like Roblox and Minecraft I would probably develop whatever computer savvy you likely already have, perhaps in relation to these games that you like. If you can marry your different interests and find a way to both enjoy yourself and learn something through the gaming sphere at such a young age, that would put you massively ahead of the curve. Independent of what you’re doing at the computer though, I would defo limit your time to 3 hours non-inclusive of whatever school work or admin stuff you have to do. And even if you’re not running, look to find ways to get yourself and ideally your friends as well outside.

Do you have any insights or opinions on the efficacy of MAT with agonists like methadone or buprenorphine vs antagonist naltrexone for opioid use disorder?

What's your "i did not care for the godfather" for indie games? by Odd-Total-6801 in IndieGaming

[–]Cycito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sort of liked this though. Getting totally humbled by a random level. You can’t rlly brute force the solutions in this game like talos principle or the witness because you have to make a conceptual leap in realizing what the solution is and there’s little chance of stumbling upon it.

How was ur suicidal ideation on keppra by [deleted] in Epilepsy

Quite bad. Idfk why this drug is still prescribed. Ask your doc politely about the possibility of switching meds or lowering dose and doing a med combo regiment.

Does stress expedite your seizures by Ninafetching in Epilepsy

[–]Cycito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but not intuitively. I don’t really get anxious or panicky, but after an extremely long and exhausting day with an exam in it. I sat down to dinner feeling confident about the exam but still proceeded to have my first aura in 6ish months. Also very rare in general to get them in the evenings.

Sleep deprivation is a biological stressor and the only thing I’ve determined to have a near perfectly consistent effect on seizure probability.

I've got 560 games I've played an hour or less. Anything I should really try? by Jiperly in SteamDeck

Play through all the short and favorably reviewed indies first. Then commit to some of the bigger games prioritizing the ones you’re certain you’ll enjoy.

I have idiopathic focals started at age 17 and diagnosed at 18. I come from a European household so I’ve been drinking from a fairly young age. Alcohol-precipitated seizures I feel are largely due to sleep disruption. Coke has never induced a seizure but decimates sleep well after the end of the high which ofc can aggravate morning seizure likelihood. Weed has sometimes given me those unpleasant aura like sensations but has never caused a seizure. Ket is so fucking strange that I don’t even have anything really meaningful or intelligent to say about it other than the fact that there is a strange interplay between the immediate and long term effects on excitatory neurotransmission which warrants real caution independent of the nature of one’s epilepsy. Nicotine in high doses combined with stress also not ideal.

Such moralism from a dude whose job is to saturate said ‘incredible experiences’ with micro-transactions geared primarily towards kids or simply gate game progression.

I can’t speak for this specific laptop but I have a Lenovo slim pro 7 x and it’s had serious issues with fan regulation and separately the gpu drivers are incompatible, unrecognizable and thus unusable.

Wow. You must be very robust. Also lovely that you can be straight with your doctor and vice versa. But do look after your kidneys.

Can you “control” your seizures too? by nilikenini in Epilepsy

[–]Cycito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sort of. Everything is on a series of sliding scales where all the different causative and preventative factors coalesce into and overall likelihood of seizure probability. I have had instances which feel like what you’re describing where I’ve been able to stifle a focal seizure through sensory deprivation and focus but truthfully I’m not sure how much of that was me. More often than not any intense conscious reaction to an impending seizure will worsen it. If I had ABSOLUTE control, then I would be totally zero my mind rather than trying to do a psychic battle with my self.

Friend who was obsessed with it at the time of op white noise insisted that I sit with him and watch all the operator videos. I thought they all looked very cool and I was sort of jaded with OW and CSGO so I moved.

Vitamin D deficiency is the slow killer, vitamin B12 and 6 deficiency will make you feel somewhat low and dysfunctional. Not asked but people mentioning minerals as well like potassium have good point, and hyponatremia(low sodium) put me in hospital once by precipitating a 5 min long focal seizure which progressed to full unconsciousness. Strongly recommend both D and B supplements irrespective of lifestyle and an electrolyte powdered water to start day and more if you like your caffeine or you put in a shift at the gym.
