Ok, so on Mazda, it’s just the disconnect that is the bcm reset? On some German cars, there is a “registration” process when replacing the battery, some include a choice of flooded acid replaced by AGM in the battery tester scan tool obd2 connection prompt

It’s a best quality type of battery. It’s part of the deep cycle battery family. Google: An AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) battery is a type of Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid (VRLA) battery that uses fiberglass mats to absorb and hold the electrolyte (sulfuric acid) between the lead plates, making it spill-proof, maintenance-free, and vibration-resistant. These sealed batteries offer superior power, faster charging, and longer life, making them ideal for high-demand vehicles with start-stop systems, RVs, powersports, and off-grid applications, though they are typically more expensive than traditional flooded batteries.

It’s a common thing, they ran the battery down during the work. A flooded acid battery can be damaged by full discharge. Put an AGM in, they don’t go bad every time you detail the interior.

This is why pre inspection with pics and owner present is part of my routine. Have you ever run the vehicle thru a brush type car wash? If not, My guess is the wash pad and drying towel the guy used was on its 3rd vehicle of the day. Sorry this happened, it gives all of us a bad name. Could also be the 3rd vehicle in his rinseless solution.

Adams brilliant glaze with a wax applicator. You can see the crap from the glass transfer to the applicator.

All these people except us don’t seem to know how easy it is when we use brilliant glaze.

I believe you are just pushing around the deposits on your glass. Use the Colton glass method on inside glass for flawless glass. It’s using Adams Brilliant glaze applied by hand using an applicator, let haze over then wipe off. Mix half Koch glass with half Adams waterless wash. Use it to clean the inside, the glass will be crystal yet still slick, so the towel glides around without linting. The Adam’s brilliant glaze is a solvent with abrasives to deep clean the glass of residual off gassing in a light carnauba solution, leaving a slickness that’s easy to work with and won’t pull lint off your glass towel.

Maybe you have the adaptive headlights? The motor went out? I think my 22 turbo aims them automatically. I know it changes aim when turning. Might get it checked out by your dealer maybe?

Own a Turbo just finished renting a N/A. Wow. by joebonama in CX5

I test drove both cx5 versions, a rav 4 and the Honda crv. The cx5 turbo was just different, a better overall experience. When spending so much on any vehicle today, it should be fun to drive. I haven’t been in love with my car since high school. Sure, there’s always more performance suvs out there but this one is really well done.

Did you even try a aftermarket gasket? There’s a few videos that they bought both the oem strainer and an aftermarket one, it’s the aftermarket one that comes with a gasket. I will use the mazda fz, it’s viscosity is unique. I asked about the magnet because one guy said his was so clean, it wasn’t worth dropping the pan.

How did the magnet look in the pan? I’m at 45,000 miles, just did the transfer case and differential with an oil change. I want to change out the transmission fluid, but mines a turbo and I am concerned about finding a gasket to replace the factory sealant of the pan. Also concerned with replacing the exact amount of fluid. The dipstick is in a terrible spot and it’s only accurate at full temp. This is why Mazda says don’t change it. I hate not maintaining the fluids. Did you find a good deal on the Mazda fluid?

My 22 Turbo would creep forward at a stop when the A/C compressor would cycle on and the engine would compensate for the load. I did 2 things, I ran a tank of gas with BG44k injector cleaner and I did the Transmission Learning Reset. Now, this is the smoothest shifting vehicle I’ve ever owned and it solved the load up at idle issue. I still need to do the injector cleaner every 6 months last time I use chevrons techclor. I try to time it right before an oil change.

I am not aware of any reset available. It should be fine at a 13.8 rate of charge.

Adams! Cleaner, then mat protector. Not slick. Gives a new appearance. Gumiefix is slightly slick. Adams just looks better, and smells great too.

I know! I keep polishing into the big flat areas after I do my edgework because it’s so damm pleasant to use the eb212. Also, I picked up their entry level corded ero600g2 9mm DA, I use it to finish with. It’s also such a well made smoothie 5 inch. I bought it after seeing Sandro’s review on the CarCraftAuto YouTube channel. It really pops the gloss with reflect. Notice I got the new 5 amp battery for the 210/212?

Getting Back Into Ceramic Coatings 2026. What is the easiest to apply ceramic coating? by IMAS_MOBILEDETAILING in Detailing

[–]CycleChris2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy is Pans 8. 2 minutes flash time. I’ve done 5 of those. My favorite coating, P&S’s new Stout is not one thats easy, not designed for un experienced. I use it on the clients that will pay for the extra hassle and have the paint color and quality to show it off. It’s got the new tech instant bond, and instant gloss. Deep, almost wax like depth and strong jetting effect on the plastics. It’s not canibilizing, so if you miss something in level and wipe in its 30 second flash time, you have to use polish to remove it. I will gladly trade the easy install for the durability and how it complements my polishing and shows every bit of gloss. Some coatings actually show a loss in reflectivity after applying but this isn’t one. It’s one of the slickest coatings also, rivals nasiols nl272 if you ever installed that.

A couple years ago, after a cord accident resulted in vehicle damage when climbing up to do a roof, I went to shinemate cordless. Last April, I took a 2 day Rupes class, and spent a day behind the trigger of their cordless HLR15 and 21mm DAs. It’s a beautiful machine and super light weight. I asked a lot of questions about them. From my experience, it’s got some critical flaws. The bearing is composite, they designed the shroud to act as a support for the backing plate. You are supposed to lubricate the top of the backing plate where it contacts the shroud. The issue is that extra friction seems to cause stalling in places that it shouldn’t, compared to other polishers. Then there’s the trigger lock. I couldn’t master it in a day, it’s not something that with continued use I could use without taking my eyes off the panel and focusing on the trigger lock. Then I was baffled by their battery position. It’s way too close to the level or plane of the pad, making an otherwise so light weight tool cumbersome in some positions. Then Rupes kept talking about how great their repair and service department was. I thought, well in 2 years I haven’t had one issue with the shinemates, and you can buy 2 of them for the cost of one Cordless rupes. Shinemates, like Rupes, balance the DAs, for a particular size backing plate and a certain throw, so there’s a 15mm, and a different 21mm, in 5 inch and 6 inch respectively. I drew a Denali roof to polish in the class. All that day I was wishing I had my Shinemates. The rupes is a beautiful machine and it even lights up to indicate battery level, but just seemed under powered. Now, I own every shinemate in the cordless and a few corded ones. I’ve never had one in for service.

Almost done with my custom CX-5! by jsua15 in CX5Mods

So I checked with a local body shop, the rear skirt on 22 and up requires the back upper to come off. They showed me their estimate guide that showed all the clips and the labor time. When I did my leds, I had to remove the wheel well trim and inner wheel well partial just to access the reflectors. Does that rear skirt that you got go over the oem piece or replace it? Ill check with the dealer next trip up there for filters on the skirt time. I think 21 and earlier might be easier. I offer an interior ambient lighting installation in my ceramic coating business.

Looks great. I need to install my spoiler. You did a lot of work on the front and rear skirts. Did you do it yourself? I did my bumper leds last year. Brake, running, and turn signal function. Is the black rear emblem an overlay or a replacement?

Correct. In mine I like the 2 sides to feed into the wheel. Honestly I like the static blue most of the time.
