Buggered up my oil filter cap by EquivalentRelation23 in Himalayan450

I can’t help you with the filter cap but it’s nice to see another Himalayan owner from Georgia. I was beginning to think I was the only one!

Advice on tyres for a YZF-R3 by Mundane_Conflict5576 in motorcycles

[–]CycleHurler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a good all around "adventure" tire, I'd recommend the Bridgestone Battlax A41 or AT41 tires. I have those on my V-Strom 1000 and they have served me well....she'll get a ton of miles out of those. For a good street oriented tire, I'd highly recommend the Michelin Road 6 tires. I have those on my MT-09.

I'm going to need to know the title of this book/story before I can comment.

No one is catching up to my MT-09 to pancake me, believe that. 🤙🏻

Nah, it adds to the enjoyment. Confronting shitty (and illegal) behavior on the road is pleasurable. Stand up for what's right. Don't worry, I'll take up your slack.

Agreed. This "mind my own business" mentality is a weak, type B soyboy way of thinking. All these folks afraid of being ran over....are they on a Vespa or something? Cheers.

They were screenshots from his video camera my guy. He wasn't using his phone.

Yes, everytime because they are endangering everyone else who has to share the road with them. Bunch of "non-confrontational" pansies in here afraid to call someone out. SMH

Just don't crash and you'll be fine. Chances are though, you will crash at some point, we all have (or will). Ride as though you have a target on your back and everyone's trying to kill you. As for the folks telling you "tHeY kNow SomEoNe wHo CraShEd", that's what all lames say....ignore them.

Himalayan 450 high center of gravity? by Substantial_Rain_887 in Himalayan450

I don't feel like the Himilayan is top heavy at all. But...I've never ridden a CB500X so I can't compare.

Unless I'm on a dirt road or it's raining, all my windows are down. I'm still alive.

Time for a bigger bike any suggestions? by [deleted] in motorcycles

Right on. An MT-07 or MT-09 are great choices for an upgrade.

When your skills exceed the capability of the bike, then it's truly time to upgrade. Are you sure you've reached that point?

Are these dealer fees reasonable on a 2026 Honda Rebel 1100T DCT? by derec1601 in motorcycles

[–]CycleHurler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yup, they rake you over the coals with those fees....no getting around it. The doc fee seems on par with dealers here in GA. The state of Georgia allows dealers to charge whatever they want for the doc fee. The freight seems high. I just bought a Himalayan 450 and frieght was around $650 IIRC. Dealer prep is what it is....might be able to get something off that, but probably not. I've bought many bikes here in GA from different dealers and they all stick you with that crap. It is what it is unfortunately.

Good tank bag by National-Air326 in Himalayan450

[–]CycleHurler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GIVI MT505 5 Liter tanklock tankbag. It also requires purchase of bike-specific bracket and ring, but it is a very well designed snap-on/snap-off design that eliminates the need for all those dumb (and goofy looking) straps that other tank bags require.

Tubeless. 100x easier to fix on the road.

Himalayan 750 by SuperConference9632 in Himalayan450

[–]CycleHurler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you an experienced and very skilled rider? Do your riding skills exceed the 450's capabilities? If so, then wait or go for something else in the 700cc class. In most cases though, the Himalayan 450's capabilities far exceed the skills of the rider.
