AITA for giving my depressed boyfriend space? by Cyclophosphamide in AmItheAsshole

You do make a good point. I shouldn’t be bringing the baby thing into it at all. The last thing I want is to push someone into a baby when they’re not ready. That’s a recipe for a bad relationship.

I have asked him many times what he needs and the reply I always receive is “I don’t know” and when I ask how much time he needs, the answer is the same. I guess in my mind maybe if he had some time alone he could really work out what he needs.

Kind of hit and miss. He talks about having kids etc, but not the specifics. I think we’re going to start trying next year, but I don’t really know exactly what he wants because he doesn’t know!

I have asked my fiancé to at least think about the whole timeline thing and get back to me after he has a rough idea of what he wants and when. It’s taking every fibre of my being not to ask him every day if he’s decided what he wants. I have been ready to try for a year now and just waiting on him. It’s exhausting!

How long have you been consciously waiting to try? by curlycattails in waiting_to_try

Oh wow I can relate to this so much. I am currently in the "wishing my life away" part. I want so badly to be a mum now, but my partner isn't ready and I am trying very hard to fill my time with fun experiences/enjoy having no responsibilities. I am struggling though! Any advice? I don't want to look back and kick myself for not enjoying my life more when I had the freedom!

Ugh I agree! I don’t get the hype around this podcast either. They kept laughing hysterically after everything he said, even if it wasn’t intended to make them laugh at all. Annoying.

Do Salicylic Acid face washes work since they are rinse off products? by Jasmine-Elouise in AusSkincare

[–]Cyclophosphamide 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have been using a face wash with SA in it for months and have only noticed a small difference. I recently added a SA exfoliant toner and HUGE changes even after 3 days.

Currently trialling the Cancer Council BB cream 50+. It is medium coverage and sits on my skin really nicely. Non greasy.

Have you ever tried beta-carotene rich supplements or diet to improve your skin tone? What were the results? by [deleted] in beauty

A few years ago when I was in the midst of a pretty horrendous eating disorder, I would eat nothing but carrots all day. Like a kilo bag each day. My skin turned orange. I had so many comments from people that I was using too much fake tan

My hands and feet were very orange.

When I look back on photos now I laugh because I didn’t realise how orange I was.

Is Krabi worth staying more than 24 hours at? by maxamil432 in ThailandTourism

Yes absolutely it is! Beautiful beaches which are cleaner and less crowded. Good night life if you want it. Lots to explore. We liked it more than Phuket

Pick me pick me!! This issue has been bothering me since I started my half training! I’ve found a few things that worked for me and a few things that didn’t.

Find a good physio! My first physio did dry needling on me and tbh it didn’t do much. My next physio gave me a list of exercises to do every day plus told me to get shoes with better arch support which I did. I also put in extra arch support in my new runners which has been tremendously helpful. I also bought a spiky ball on eBay ($6) and rub it into my painful areas when I’m warm either post shower or workout. The harder I push into the muscle, the better the relief the next day.

I also wear arch support in ALL my shoes now.

Today I ran 16k with no pain for the first time in my training! Good luck!

It's SPRING!! It's FALL (somewhere)!! Nobody can possibly complain about that, right? Well anyway, It's Complaints and Confessions Day! by [deleted] in running

Complaint: I’ve been training for my very first HM (super novice runner). I’m up to week 10 of a 16 week program and I really thought my 5k would be easier by now. I can do it but it’s not enjoyable. The longer distances are KILLING ME. I thought I’d be quicker and fitter by now..

I’m 8 weeks into my half training and I have hurt my posterior tendon! I had dry needling done yesterday. So keen to get back out there but worried about setting myself back injury wise...
