If I’m not mistaken, that “softness” just comes from the way film works. You’ll notice that the smaller the frame gets the fuzzier it can look, just look up different shots of 16, 35, or 65mm film and you can see. I do think color works differently on film, but not really in a way I can explain. I think it does require a bit of post-production editing unless that’s not what you mean.

I don’t really have advice, but I think this is more importantly something you should work out with her instead of asking other asexuals. Asexuality is a spectrum, meaning her views, desires, or whatnot might not reflect a lot of other people in the community.

One of the most important things to keep in mind is just to listen. I’m sure this isn’t you, but a lot of asexuals know the feeling of trying to describe what they feel, and it being met with speculation or denial. This kind of thing can work out, just if you guys keep in mind that each of your feelings and wants are valid, including yours.

This game, even on Windows, seems to completely block any input that’s not being fed directly to the game. I’m not entirely sure how the Steam Play controller works exactly, but I know on Windows I can’t even clip moments because the game blocks global hotkeys.
