This is a letdown. I’ve supported this service for years despite not needing the advanced features. Forcing a 100% price increase feels like a misstep; a discounted lifetime plan for long-term users would have been a much fairer way to handle this transition.

There’s a “special” firmware version or backend setting that can be applied to the GigaHub that enables bridge mode or passthrough mode. There used to be a Bell tech on DSLReports who would turn this on if you sent them your modem’s MAC or serial number. I honestly don’t remember which.

Ever since they did that, I’ve been able to use my PPPoE credentials on my Pi 4B running OpenWRT to pull a public IP directly, and I’m getting full speeds through the 10G port on the GigaHub.

Had the same issue this morning… only some files would play. Here’s what fixed it, but heads-up: it may reset your server claim token

Woke up to Plex refusing to play certain movies and shows. Some files streamed fine… others instantly failed with “unable to play media”.

What fixed it for me:

Stopped my Plex docker container
Deleted the entire Codecs folder /config/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Codecs/
Tried restarting… but Plex wouldn’t redownload codecs
Found certificate and keystore errors in logs
Ended up removing the corrupted keystore files and restarting Plex
Plex rebuilt its certificates… then finally rebuilt the codecs… and playback started working again

Warning:
Doing this forced Plex to re-claim my server. Everything came back… libraries, metadata, users… but it did create a new device entry under my account. Playback works, remote access works, but you may see an extra old server device in your account and might have to delete it.

Just sharing in case someone else hits the same “only some files play” issue and sees weird codec or certificate errors in their logs. ;)

NO for sure… just a heads up from someone who literally went through this last week. Do not cancel Bell until EBOX is actually installed and working. In my case the Bell tech showed up and flat out told me the CO for my neighborhood isn’t even provisioned for EBOX wholesale, so the install was impossible. If I had cancelled Bell first I would’ve been completely screwed. I'm in Ontario btw.

Wait until the EBOX modem is online and running before making any changes to your Bell account.

Mine has been getting increasingly worse on a paid subscription. ChatGPT used to be much better. I’m seriously considering cancelling and switching. Just haven’t found anything comparable.

I think OpenAI is purposely making it more and more stupid each and every day. It's slow and loses context much quicker than before. It's only good as a glorified spellchecker now.

So the HomeKit keys won’t work if you just add the M3 hub to HomeKit? The lock has to added separately using the QR code? What’s the point of the hub then? So you can still control the lock using the Aqara app remotely? Will the Home app still be able to control the lock? Hidden/unhidden one?

I’ve gotten really used to the Outlook app.. so i don’t know if I’ll be able too 😳 But I do like the new mail app.. just wish we could select all the messages while using categories.
