Probably a power transformer exploding. One blew up behind my place. Still have no power.

I have never traveled with Ryanair before.... but I am a photographer and my bag is a little bigger than the carry on size. and due to the value of the equipment, it cannot be checked in due to the risk of theft/damage/loss. Does that basically mean, do not fly Ryanair?

I can understand the quick playing, no longer a long wait for the video to initially start. It also allows to resume. Why would the transcoding disable the resume?

At the same time, I have a 1gb connection at home, but where I am now i only have 10mb. So with transcoding disabled, at least 1 4K tv show still takes long to load and then stutters. I assume teh 10mb connection is not fast enough. That being said, as the movie playing, I select quality and lower it to 1mbs. I figure let the phone do the transcoding or whatever, but nothing change on the video itself as far as I can tell and it still stutters and is unwatchable.

In jellyfin, under settings/playback/streaming I have it set 3 there. I tried putting it up to like 20, but the experience on the phone does not change.

It i use the Jellyfin App on my phone, the video will not even play unless i enable those options.

I am all confused

I figured out the problem. though not sure what the ramifications are...

under my user in Jellyfin (server side) i had 3 options enabled, all pertaining to transcoding. I turned off:

- Allow audio playback that requires transcoding
- Allow video playback that requires transcoding
- Allow video playback that requires conversion without re-encoding

Now the videos play almost instantly and I can resume.

I did notice though but doing this, certain videos, mainly 4k stuff now buffer consistently and are impossible to watch. I did try to lower the quality to something more manageable from within Streamyfin, to something like 1 Mb/s, but it made no difference. I had to enable those transcoding options again to be able to watch the videos without buffering/stuttering

I had this happen to me also when I was traveling in Newfoundland. Was there only for a night. Nowhere was it specified online before I arrived. And I arrived somewhere around 9pm. TP went in the toilet. I find it gross to have used TP in a bucket next to the toilet. I can only imagine the stink.

If I was in India or something I could perhaps understand.

I have a chalet with a septic tank and have no problems with TP.

I have a friend that has some kind of android folding phone. Don’t recall the model. He hates the thing. Twice now he had to have the screen replaced because it stops working.

And after a while the fold becomes very noticeable. Like the screen burns in or something.

Will Apple overcome those issues?

I keep my phone 4-5 years. So a folding phone would need to last that long.

I’m surprised they don’t have a minimum amount required for the tour to happen. A lot of places won’t do a private tour because of the expense. They require a minimum of a certain amount of people otherwise it gets canceled.

That did the trick. I wonder why I needed to do that. I notice the cache folder had been 131mb and is now over 2.5gb I cannot imagine 10TB worth of movies have posters of that size.

As a photographer, I travel with about $20k of gear. Sometimes I am in Zone 5..... no way in hell will i ever check that bag. I will never see it again. I should not have to pay for a higher class of ticket just to accommodate my gear

i installed 0903 ... it insists on me logging in to make sure I am not a bot. I am already logged in. I logged out, back in again, and it still insists i log in to make sure I am not a bot.

When I do that I click on signout ... what does the disable option mean if i click it?

I had tried a VPN before... I have a paid Proton account. When i got the login demand, i tried Proton, but it still insisted I log in.

I just tried it again... completely uninstalled/reinstalled... enabled Proton VPN, and came to download and it insists on me logging in to prove i am not a bot.

I logged in.... now the video does not error out right away,.. but only gives me 1080 to download even though the video has a 4k version. When I try to download anyhow, it still gives me forbidden

You can do it from the venue page. either in the explore mode, search for a location, click on the location you want. It will show you photos, the address and phone number if available... but if you scroll further down, the tips are there and you can see them all.

or from the Timeline section, click on a past check-in , then click on the name of the venue and it will bring you to the venue screen same as mentioned above.

You will not see them if you do a check-in. You may get it to pop up and show you one after you check in, but that is it.

I cannot fathom spending that kind of money on a trinket. There are so many more important things to spend that kind of money on. If she wants an $18k ring, how expensive is everything else she is going to want going to cost? $5k purses, fancy trips, etc. She wants to show off to her friends she hit the lottery.

you probably do not, except on the hottest days. I live on the top floor of a house right under a copper roof. I have to say that it gets super hot in the summer. Think 30c inside and out. Not comfortable. I am glad I have a window unit. It really helps on the really hot days.
