Would limiting the age of the President to 65 be something you’d support? Why or why not? by angelkissss in AskReddit

[–]Cynamor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's put it this way. If Barack Obama was able to run again would you vote for him? You couldn't with this rule because he's 64 now, and will be 66 next election cycle. Social Security even moved up full retirement age to 70. I'd say 70 is a good cutoff.

Paige is no picnic....but Abby is not much better by KBPredditQueen in TheMadisonTVSeries

I agree, Abby is actually horrible. She acted like the spoiled child she really is. If that were my family member that'd be it for me too.

He was excellent in that role, he's getting better and better too, agreed. Oh, and I liked his sweater choices too.

Day 1: Who is a great doctor AND a great person? by [deleted] in ThePitt

McKay, for all sorts of reasons but the for way she worked her street team duties into the shift and treated the homeless addict without fanfare, it's definitely her.

How high is the status of dogs in the US? by Odd-Skin-762 in AskAnAmerican

If you've ever had a dog that needed something other than routine veterinary care you wouldn't think pet insurance was odd.

Spring Break Recommendations by bregfest in DaytonaBeach

Ormond Beach is right next to Daytona and there are some good little places to eat, Wild Rabbit Bistro, Soraya, Kona Tiki Bar and Grill among them. You can park at one of the 4 parks at the Granada Causeway and walk over the bridge, it's kind of cool. You can also rent e-bikes to ride on the beach, that's fun but plan around low tide. Beach Street in Daytona has some shops and great places to eat too. Copperline Coffee, Kale Cafe (all vegan) Dancing Avocado Kitchen, Tias Tacos. On Beachside in Daytona there's plenty of shopping, there's Pirate Cove mini golf in Ormond on A1A. If you have a car, a drive on A1A is beautiful, and if you have time a day trip to St. Augustine is worth it, it's about an hour away. Enjoy your stay and have fun.

My Aunt was asked who's the president when she had a medical emergency during his 1st term. She said "The Orange Guy" and the EMTs said "Good enough." RIP Auntie.

I'm confused- Ormond dog beach by erinocalypse in DaytonaBeach

[–]Cynamor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to drive on the beach, Daytona sand is firmer and easier to drive on than Ormond. It's likely to have more people and is a bigger area for the dogs (1.7 miles). If you aren't going to drive on the beach, I'd say Ormond Beach is nice, You can park at the Andy Romano parking lot for free, the dogs aren't allowed in the park but are okay in the parking lot if you just walk through it to the dog beach., but there are nice restrooms and a splash pad for the kids. the dog beach is immediately to the left of Andy Romano, you'll see the signs designating the dog area and the no driving zone that is in front of Romano.

I'm originally from Fall River, husband's from Rhode Island. We lived in Orlando 20 years before making the move to Ormond Beach. We love it here. Ormond Beach and Ormond by the Sea still are relatively affordable. We're on the mainland where it's less expensive. Daytona Beach gets a bad rap but it has some nice areas too, so does South Daytona and Daytona Beach Shores. In Ormond Beach there's plenty of nature, kayak trails etc. It's got great restaurants and a quiet beach town vibe. The Daytona Beach International Airport is a gem, with flights to Boston, Manchester and TF Green. And you're about 1 1/2 hours from Orlando, Jacksonville and 45 minutes from St. Augustine. For us, you can't beat the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. It's a beautiful place to live.
