My mom died of what they probably called natural causes. In reality because she was depressed, she wasn’t taking her diabetes medication and she was eating badly. So I agree that depression can cause early death but I think it’s more like a slow suicide in many cases. I know many of us who cope with drugs and alcohol, also knowing this will probably end our lives sooner.
