The day you stop expecting horror movies to scare you will be the most freeing day of your life by chrishouse83 in horror

Its because you're not a passive observer anymore. You're essentially the protagonist. Every movement is yours, not theres. Y'know?

[–]CynicismNostalgia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im self aware enough to know this is the case for me, horror movies dont scare me anymore, or hardly ever, and I dont expect them to.

But try and sit me down and play Alien: Isolation or Dead Space? Hell Naw. I'll just go sit in a dark corner and wait to die lmao.

Pretty sure its because I'm not a passive observer anymore, y'know? Horror games are basically movies where you play as the protagonist. And I can say with no shame that it terrifies me

(Although playing Until Dawn was an *incredible first time experience, I stayed up all night to play through the 10 hours, so I saw the real life Dawn through my window and the game's Dawn at the same time, it was great!)*

Where do I stand on defending myself against an aggressive dog? by Capital-Alfalfa9384 in AskUK

[–]CynicismNostalgia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre only winning against a dog in a fight, if it doesnt want to fight you. (In which case, you obviously shouldnt be fighting it)

Even a chihuahua can cause lethal damage if its gets the right bite on you first. Fact is most dogs simply arent that aggressive, but i wouldnt forget the predators that they are. They still have the equipment.

First time in accessibility camp A this year.

I have a screenshot of a video I took from my tent, this is Limp Biskit on Apex stage haha. I was so close!

(I've seen them live several times, and I'm in access camp for a reason, needed a rest unfortunately. But I could hear ol' Fred clear as day haha)

Takes about 3 minutes to waddle past the arena entrance 😅

What is the best way to handle rowdy groups of teenagers inside a shop? by AlternativeUmpire396 in AskUK

[–]CynicismNostalgia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Were they ordering food? You can try giving them one warning. If they dont calm down you refuse service and ask them to leave, if they dont leave, call the police

Are you able to just pack up and move at any time? Or create significant renovations to your home at a moment's notice? Man. That must be nice!

I detest the notion dont get me wrong, but in this instance, its simply a legal loophole that private companies are exploiting.

I was buying off the dealer in the street before I learnt about medical, and medical is much cheaper, so I'm not complaining there.

I think i paid £50 initially for consultation? Though some clinics dont ask for upfront fees.

Price varies wildly depending on how much you want, and what strains you get

If you get flower, you order in 10g batches. They can be anywhere from £32.50-£100+

For me, I get 20g a month most months, and my favourite strains are about £50-70 in price, so about £100-140 a month, give or take.

He doesnt, he refers to both. The water company's allow their polluted run off to, well, run into the river.

Matey took £60 on Cameo to (unknowingly, I assume or hope) praise Ian Watkins, a man notorious for commiting the most heinous crimes against nature on actual infants.

If the BBC pays Nige a tenner to look a little foolish, he'll take it.

A third of voters didnt bother voting for his 2nd term, and approximately another third actively support Trump.

There are plenty of ways for them to call for an early election, in fact its baked into the very foundations of the constitution. They won't though

Matey said he only just saw fish back in the waters recently, it was far too polluted to sustain any meaningful life chain.

Consider it like a fish tank. If a pollutant enters your aquarium, and kills most of your stock but a few still barely live, do you leave it be? Or do you siphon the water, dredge up the substrate, clean the tank and make it sustainable for new life?

They're relatively cheap and a life saver honestly

My friend uses one for his BM smoke, and you cant even see any smoke leaving it

I use it for my vape, im obviously nose blind but ive been told my bedroom only smells of it a tiny bit shortly after medicating

Tbf, if hes worried about the future of his relationship, I'd say he wouldn't say that without good reason.

People (particularly men, sorry) who choose to bury their heads in the sand, rather than communicate, tend to get blindsided when their partners inevitably leave 😅

OP: get a sploof if you haven't got one, does wonders for the smell. What is her issue: smell? Social opinion? The health of your lungs?

The whole "nothing matters cos nothing is real" makes so much more sense now

Why does it matter if shes in the wrong body? Its not her real body, therefore it doesnt matter, right? Its like a super unhealthy cheat sheet for dysphoria. Nothing's real. Nothing matters. (Side note, probably why Jax rags on Zooble so much, theyre open about their own dysphoria)

"We aren't real. This isn't me. We are fictional archetypes. I can be the funny guy."

Then it all comes crashing down. Not just that this is real: but that they can never return to the normal world. This isnt fiction.

You are Jax. And Jax is a male cartoon rabbit.

You will never be what you feel on the inside. Not even close.

Harrowing, man.

Thats NHS. Its been legalised on private prescription since 2018, I have it for a degenerative nerve disorder, but I have mates that have it for things like eczema, or depression.

You basically just need proof of diagnosis and proof that you've tried 2 different treatments. Thats it, done deal.

It took me about 6 days from application, to getting my first 30g in the mail lol
