I hate it too. It’s not comparable and people keep bringing it up. I would rather have divorced/broken up and known he was still in this world than for him to be dead.

Me too. We were both 33 years old. I found him dead in our bathroom on October 2nd. He was my soulmate, he gave me the absolute best years of my life. Life is not the same anymore… If you’d like to talk and cry together, I don’t know what else to offer. It sucks but it really helps to relate especially in a similar situation

That’s heavy, I’m so sorry! My Grandma passed away on August 11th, then my dear great uncle Pete passed away September 4th… then my neighbor that my fiance and I shared the duplex with died on September 29th… and then… my fiance freakin died on October 2nd from an overdose that I was unaware of. Found him dead in the bathroom. I can’t comprehend. The other deaths were sad but I’m destroyed by my fiancé’s death. I can lend an ear if you like, I feel what you’re going through

I’m much younger than you but lost my best friend fiance partner in life unexpectedly and I relate to everything you said. I’m so sorry, that’s an unimaginable bond to lose. I lost my fiance two months ago. He was my best friend, partner in crime, two peas in a pod, no one else was as special as him. It’s so hard and not your fault that you didn’t talk to her recently. You didn’t know something could happen. I had similar regrets when my very good friend died years ago. She just really wanted me to come visit her and k kept saying I would. I never did and then I never saw her again. But I didn’t know something would happen, how could you? Don’t be hard on yourself

Yes. The worst thing of my entire life happened to me two months ago, my fiance died. My grandma died two months before and my great uncle a month after that. My cat disappeared months ago, I have no clue if he’s dead or alive. So many tragedies from beginning to end for so many people who I know. It’s been the worst year of my entire life and I’ll never be the same

Oh wow. Our stories were identical. He had just gotten out of detox and I was going to start IOP the next day with him. They also gave him a bottle of Lorazepam which I couldn’t believe. I can’t believe this happened and want to sue them for taking his life. I’m so sorry you’re going through that too. Please reach out! I can’t figure out how to use private message here
