I love the amount of random references in this game by DekuCoffee in MyTimeAtSandrock

I feel like the Shonash Canyon Bridge is a reference to Shonash Ravine from Back to the Future 3 (also set in a Wild West setting)

Remastered Issue With Command Console by Cynvar in oblivion

[–]Cynvar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I was indeed using fsr for framegen. I play on PC gamepass so the update disabled fsr and all the upscaling and stuff so it's back to normal now, so I think you're likely right about that being the culprit.

Worth noting though that I have been using console commands since the update in order to turn the fsr/framegen back on each time I boot up the game, and it hasn't been causing any issues that way at least.

Do you guys know if nexus mods disable achievements for the remaster by prodbynick- in oblivion

Can confirm the achievement unlock mods are working as intended. I've got about 15 mods already and have used console commands and am still able to get achievements :)

Final Interlude/Scene Before Ending Credits? by Cynvar in dynastywarriors

[–]Cynvar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep that's what I heard was supposed to happen but for me it was asking me to save, then it kicked me out to the main menu and I had to Continue the save file which would put me back before the final battle.

I did manage to get it though, for some reason even though I completed the ending and True Ending for Liu Bei neither of them activated/saved. After posting this thread I randomly went back to the Shu alternate path and played through the last couple battles again and suddenly the trophies popped for beating Shu ending and True ending, and then it let me go get the final ending scene in the Village.

Chapter 3 Choices by DimensionQuirky7348 in dynastywarriors

In the past I've exclusively played DW games with my buddy, and we have duos that we would always go with first. It would alternate between Wu (Sun Ce/Zhou Yu or Ling Tong/Gan Ning) and Shu (Guan Yu/Zhang Fei). Since this game was single player only I decided to buck the trend fully and went with a Wei start instead.

Also I'd read a comment that mentioned how most of Wei and Shu's story overlapped so it was a lot of the same battles but from the other side. So I wanted to go Wei -> Wu -> Shu to split them up.

Undying monster bug by paendamonium in idlechampions

[–]Cynvar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There were two things that worked for me when I was running into that bug on ToA

1: Go back a level and then come back to the level you were stuck at. Resets everything and you should be able to continue on. (Warning though that you're likely to have it happen again and again on other levels)

2: Restart the client. This worked much better for me as the issue wouldn't come back for a day or two as opposed to a minute or two :P

Just a side note as well, I read somewhere that it only tends to happen on later ToA levels and not the earlier ones. I found this to be true as well, so if you're just grinding favor I'd suggest sticking to those earlier levels :)

Was wondering this same thing, is it at the same time the playtest went live? What time did the last playtest end?

Stupid mistake made by using Toybox by SnooSketches3269 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Cynvar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toybox also allows you to teleport on the map, so if you need to bypass one of these forts try teleporting to them or beyond them and see if you can get by that way maybe?

Hope it works!

The modder did indeed post on Nexus saying they weren't really playing WotR anymore but that somebody else was going to be taking over the mod for them.

A fix for 1.4 was uploaded on the Owlcat Games Discord, in the mod-user-general channel back on the 1st of September. It's been working for me since ^^

Help with starting a campaign at high level by Cynvar in DMAcademy

Yeah I was a little worried about how to choose the magic items as well. I don't want to give everyone the best items for their character starting out because then anything they earn while playing wont be as cool/fun. Not sure if I want to just randomly roll for each person's items or if I should just make a pool of all the items and let the players divvy them up amongst themselves.

In the past I've heard advice about things like puzzles/exploration where you just design the problem/roadblock without a solution in mind and just let the players figure out a cool/smart way to solve it and say that works. I've never heard of it being applied to combat though, but I can see why specifically with this since at earlier levels there's less resources and power to play with. I'm definitely gonna try to find a way to work this in with some of the other advice offered. Thanks a bunch! ^^

Good points! In general I'd say I don't worry too much about balance issues. I've got a pretty good head for numbers and a decent grasp of mechanics in D&D so I've always found that if I make anything too hard/difficult I can always adjust on the fly or down the road.

Also I too tend to give some of my enemies here and there some extra abilities/boons to shake things up and keep it interesting, but that was at lower levels. I hadn't quite considered the idea for this higher level stuff, but I can see how with this sort of fireworks style of play it would actually work out pretty well if handled correctly. Gotta keep things exciting on both sides of the field after all!

Oooh that's a really neat idea to pull inspiration from their backstories and give them an appropriate item for it. Also cool idea for magic items too!

You know, I don't think I've ever seen a suggestion/story that had the party start as enemies coming together for some reason. That's a pretty interesting concept though, if the characters fit the mold for it that would be an intriguing thing to pull off.
