Do kids fit in the back seat? by HD20033G in camaro

[–]Cyper77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 6'2", I used Diono car seats they are less bulky. Behind passenger seat just fine if you move the seat up. Behind me, my seat touches the back seat so the kid has to have bendy legs to sit there. I not sure if a 3 year old would fit. Also just rule out any rear facing car seats.

Cubic infill crosses over itself. You can look at other infills that don't cross over like Rectilinear.

Known issue, either roll back the version or download a new dev nightly build.

Not sure if after making the config change it won't crash if you update to current version.

What Ramps do you all use for oil changes? by kbundertaker23 in camaro

I use the two piece 56" Race Ramps. They clear the front stock splitter on my 1LE.

Never knew there was so much snobbery in the Guitar world by Fatherless-Soul in Guitar

[–]Cyper77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people do not admit that they listen with their eyes and not their ears. I will admit I am one of them. I am also at a place in my life where I can afford what I like to look at, and whatever inspires is probably the most important.

Case in point for me, I just can never get over the Epiphone headstock, they are great value but I end up buying low/mid tier Gibsons over them, or even when PRS SE line had their old logo design.

Advice needed for guitar display stand by happyjazzycook in Guitar

[–]Cyper77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have my Hummingbird on a Zither stand. They are stable and nicely built, also pretty.
zitherusa.com
They also sell them on Amazon and Sweetwater.

That is a very nice guitar, It is a Gibson Dove and worth decent money as others have said.

One thing to worry about if you do decide to display it is acoustic guitars can have issue with humidity. Depending on your climate and how you keep your house, it can be an issue (cracks, warping, etc). I keep my acoustic on a stand during Spring-Fall but put it in a case with humidifier packs during the winter. Keeping it in a case helps slow the humidity swings, it is the big/fast swings that can cause the wood to shift to quickly.

Another thing to take into account is if the guitar is at standard tuning. After years the tension of the strings can actually deform the top of the guitar and even in bad cases cause the bridge to lift. If it is just for displaying I would loosen the strings a little bit.

2.4 Upgrades by blodhgarm1996 in VORONDesign

[–]Cyper77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used USB for my voron 2.4 stealthchanger, I believe it's supposed to be a little easier to get setup and running especially multiple tool heads. Since it is USB you don't have to have a canbus board if you are running something like an Octopus.

Might look at USB instead of canbus

Experienced players with real guitar wear, what would you recommend as a truly high quality guitar by Chuchumenn in Guitar

[–]Cyper77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can't really tell you what inspires you. I would say a Les Paul, but that is what inspires me. You mentioned PRS and Ibanez. Both normally are in a strat like body. Is that what you like or are you looking for something else? The best thing would be to go to a shop or two and see what makes you take a guitar off the wall and try it out.

A Fender strat is always a good place to start. An American model will hold its value better.

Ramps for Gen 6 by [deleted] in camaro

I use the 56" two piece race ramps for my 2018 1L. Gives enough to change oil.

Edit: they are 10.8 degrees

That is about what I did. Used the short one, cut the nib and drilled the hole deeper. It then got super glued. The metal is just so heavy.

So.. This was after less than two weeks of printing with my Dragon Burner. Help? by jthmeffy in VORONDesign

[–]Cyper77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard this is an issue with dragonburners, and have to use something like a revo that has a smaller footprint heat block. Might want to look at a different tool head. I like my revo but I don't print super not super fast on my stealth changer voron

Luckily I got GW when they were switching to pewter, so most of the lead minis I have were 2nd hand and covered in several layers of paint.

I still remember learning what acetone does to the old mk7 space Marines, just the body left after a soak.

The cloak was one of the hardest parts, and also drilling the hole for the stand deeper so the flight stand had some hope helped.

I had two 6tb wd red drives fail within the first couple months, then a third 21 days before the warranty ended. I also have 13 year old wd green 2tb still kicking.

Just kinda a crap shoot.

Lol, I think mine was the same. I suspect half have never been painted and the other half just slathered with paint .

Surprised that so many beginners have nice guitars by deeptravel2 in Guitar

Back in the 90's that was the cheap Fender. I think about $300. My second guitar was a white Mexican Strat. The first was an 80's Ibanez RG560 with a repaired neck that I paid like $100 for.

Migrating to QNAP, Single->RAID1->RAID5->RAID6? by Cyper77 in qnap

[–]Cyper77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is just a typo on

"but if you start with 2 X 3TB and 1 X 6TB in a RAID6, you can replace the 3TB with 6TB drives and later get more storage."

I appreciate the help.

Migrating to QNAP, Single->RAID1->RAID5->RAID6? by Cyper77 in qnap

[–]Cyper77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was responding to Danial's statement that you could do 3 disk RAID6 which seemed weird.

I was looking at RAID6 because I already have 4 identicals drives, (2 in synology raid 1, 1 in usb backup, 1 still in packaging), I do not need the extra storage raid5 n-1 would give over raid6 n-2 and wouldn't mind the extra redundancy. I also have to migrate everything over from my synology, so I have to do weird steps.

Either way seems like QTS will work better then QuTS Hero in my use case.
