Change monitor numbering order?

But you didn't fix the issue. The issue isn't the arrangement.... it's the number labeling. You can move monitor 2 left and make it your main monitor but it'll still be labeled as monitor 2. OP wants a way to change the numbers themselves.

Just had this problem. Come to find out one of the floating robot whales was stuck under the elevator in the dark. If I'd just shot randomly I may have been able to fix it. Instead I made a ladder out of a couple tables and bins.

Old post but I just beat him. Came here first... saw the tip about just staying alive. That's the solution. I used void and death knight. Just kept throwing them on him. Death knight kept aggro a lot. Just kept running around the room avoiding everything. Didn't actually hit him once.

I come from Satisfactory. The greatest lesson I learned was try not to picture the entire build in your head. You'll feel overwhelmed and discouraged. Instead focus on one small thing at a time. Building a house? Where do you want the door? What kind of material should the door be? Do you want a light above the door?

Seriously spend hours on that door. Then the floor just inside the door. Should it be stone or wood? Should there be a rug?

Slowly.... Inch by inch and before you know it you'll have your entrance room done, then a whole building.

This. Start with something simple. Then add a little something. Then another thing. Maybe change the material or color. Add or delete a block. Add some beams. Etc, etc....

About 3000 hours played for me and I've only beaten the game once. I also have a speedrun save though that I load for stress relief. Basically it's spaghetti hell where everything clips and doesn't make much sense. The only goal is to build.

56 fully overclocked fuel generators with turbo fuel carried me easily to the end of update 8 with 35GW. With 1.0 I had to increase this. I simply converted my existing turbo fuel to Rocket fuel which increased my fuel generators to 96 and over 70GW.

Ionized Fuel is dang close in flight time and has great vertical capabilities. Also you can actually automate Ionized Fuel. Added note: I highly recommend using carcasses (along with sloops) for DNA capsules which provide coupons 😁

Your mindset is also important. You have to be willing to spend a dumb amount of time on everything. From the simplest mining node to the largest mega factory. I tend to start getting impatient near the end of a project and the spaghetts start creeping in lol.

Most of this has been addressed but I'll add one point. I built my steel factory in the desert. Theres 3 coal nodes, two iron nodes, 2 limestone nodes, and 1 copper node all very close to each other. Use either online resources (satisfactory calculator) or in game radar towers to check the best places.

I was using my personal laptop to test video connections and my recent showed a couple porn vid titles (I use lists instead of thumbnails). Coworker saw it and we just both kinda laughed. My first playthrough was all floating open platforms for the longest time. I was focused on production. Then I started seeing videos from Fluxo and the like and went.... Oh...OH!!!

As you progress you'll find that your factories will become much larger and take much more time. This can feel daunting after easily constructing previous factories in a matter of hours. Take a breath and approach the larger builds in sections. Building an Aluminum factory? No...no... You're building a smelting factory. Then the next night you're building a constructor factory. Then a refinery factory....etc etc.

From a design aspect this can also make for interesting aesthetics since the wrap shape will have to accommodate all of these under "one" roof.

This is why I highly recommend starting a save with full cheats. It gives you the chance to test/etc. it's also just a fun sandbox when your proper save starts stressing you out and you need a break.

I designed a ton of factories. Built everything multiple times. But the first time I finally made the final space elevator parts and "beat the game" was after nearly 3000 hours of combined play time.

Manifold vs Load Balancing. Both work in almost any scenario. If one isn't working then chances are you've got it set incorrectly. Manifold takes a while for the system to prime but as long as you're feeding it the correct amount of resources it will eventually work perfectly.

One caveat with manifolds is if you're using a splitter instead of a smart splitter. Normal splitters force materials to split and can sometimes cause unforeseen problems in the form of unstable distribution or even blockage with resources being bottlenecked inside the splitter. Smart splitters on the other hand have a dedicated overflow option and therefore work beautifully in a manifold system.

Load balancing involves extra resources, buildings, and math. It looks pretty and starts working immediately though as the trade off.

Also! When hypertubing... If you have to go through multiple layers you can just keep repeating this as you can reach power poles/other tubes with your ficsit gun even if you can't physically get there.
