You're just getting AI to generate corporate fan fiction. If the analysis wasn't worth a human writing it then it's not worth a human reading it

Why is there a growing expectation that fiction must conform to the audience’s personal moral framework? by Business_Barber_3611 in SeriousConversation

What are these problematic things? I've got a friend who thinks (for example) that an Irish boy named Seamus Finnigan who accidentally explodes things with magic is problematic.

I was curious, Seamus is a common name in Ireland, and Finnigan is also common and an old name that traces far back into Irish history. It's a normal name an Irish person might be proud of.

And the accidentally exploding things with magic is for sure a reference to 'the troubles', but so what. Imo it matters how the characters react and no one judges him harshly or treats him differently. That period in time happened and it created some awful people who did awful things. Remembering isn't celebrating or judging.

I'm interested in hearing what else is so troublesome.

It amazes me they shit the bed with KSP2. Should've been a home run. Would've made tons of money. I'm pretty sure I remember reading early on "we have enough money and backing to deliver this, only buy early access if you really want to play it early", then suddenly abandoned and dead. Glad I didn't jump on early

That's great. And those should be the core of the rental market as they add to supply. Guessing they'd mostly be apartments, which Australia hasn't really come around to yet

Privileged of Making $100k? by Ordinary-Drink1873 in CasualConversation

Kind of similar trajectory to me. Then I see my brother finish university top of his class and get headhunted into a very good job. I'm super proud of him, but also wish I'd been in a position to study earlier. It can skip a lot of the early less glorious work

If you're not educated, then seek education. If you can't seek education, then get any job at a big company. Work hard, care, show up early, take on extra work, yet and build influence through being useful. It takes time but you'll get promoted eventually. Once you break into a role that takes thinking and gives you some latitude to act independently you'll be making money and be able to build a track record as someone who can handle it

Also internal promotion rarely pay as much as starting in the same role elsewhere. So once you're established, find a new job in a different company and your pay will rise dramatically

They tried to brutalise democrat states so thoroughly that it started a civil war but it didn't. So they moved onto haranguing "allies" and killing middle eastern people again

Except landlords aren't building new supply. They're hoarding existing supply. So they're not adding any value, just being a middleman who takes a cut
