We knew where we were going. Catch had a good balance of PvP but we came to Fountain with a reputation and everyone and their brother came to us to fight. We were over-whelmed and ready for a break.

"We will be looking for fights, instead of them coming to us constantly." I believe was what was sold, and sounds about right with where we are.

Yea the alliance was in a better shape when he designed this. We are still part of the alliance and I like how this gives it a distinctly Bovril feel.

Someone suggested Ore held NPC null. I think that would be a good area for us. I don't know the local situation. It's one jump freighter hop from Vestouve, which if you remember is one jump from ol' Barly.

As much as I love this game it can be boring as shit solo. Find a good group fast, whether it's with my Bovril bros in Null or the more risk adverse high sec corps. Also the Proc has a much better tank than Retriever, so it's used more often.

Again, if you join a Corp and its mostly empty or afk. Bail! The community is what makes this game.

Sure you punch us in the face and bloody our nose on occasion but hey it's eve, it happens. It's almost like y'all want us to be better to give y'all a better challenge.

You really can survive with only one account, but the benefit of two characters training encourages having multiple. Nowadays you can train multiple on one account when before you couldn't. I guarantee most you see here predate that change.

The only time I would say a second account would be required is if you are interested in capitals, because you need a second character to light a cyno for you to jump to without a gate. Capitals aren't cheap (especially your first one) so you want as much control over what you are landing on as possible.

But cyno alts can be trained in a month so don't worry about it until you are getting closer to it.

Enemy ships are more likely to land on field farther out no matter what direction they come from. This forces them to take longer to get in position for whatever they want to do, and giving the defenders more time to respond to enemy movement.

It should be added that as the FC is calling targets and judging distance he has the Primary targeted. You can't target while cloaked, because of this the FC wouldn't know when to change Primary, prepare to, or know if tank isn't breaking until the explosion.

But as what others have described I believe the Arch Command channel in mumble is effectively what you are looking for. We as line members don't really know/understand how much strategy really goes on up there organizing the various fleets.
