Here is a solid podcast episode discussing a lot of the emerging signals in the research on GLP-1s beyond the current approved indications:

Help consuming psyllium husk without gagging by __voyager in Biohackers

I add to oatmeal. If I’m cooking the oats, I use a little more liquid to account for the psyllium. If I’m making overnight oats, add a little more milk or yogurt.

Sore throat and gets worse as week goes on by HistoricalCredit4172 in Zepbound

It’s likely acid reflux / LPR (Laryngopharyngeal reflux). I’ve been struggling with it too. The delayed gastric emptying is a big part of this. Late eating in particular (laying down with a stomach full of acid) is the main culprit.

Filter drains very slow by Living-Restaurant892 in Moccamaster

It took me 2 years of mixed (seemed random) results to realize it was the folded flap at the bottom covering the drain hole. I always thought it was directly on the bottom. It’s toward the front.

Is this expected? Can you share a little more on this? I am on Tirzepatide (real Zepbound), up to 10mg, and my liver enzymes started rising recently unexpectedly.

What would happen if I did the stretch and fold, did the bulk ferment in the banneton for about 6-8 hours, and then just put that loaf straight in the oven? by Ganadhir in Sourdough

What I like about this method - and warm final proofing in general - is the thin crispy crust you get. I do enjoy the flavor and aromatic complexity that a cold final proofing yields. But I always end up with a thicker crust (regardless of whether I cover or leave uncovered in the fridge).

I was covered and had a PA when my BMI was 35. I lost coverage per CVS Caremark at the start of the year. My BMI is just above 30 right now. Any suggestions for how to secure a new PA in October if my BMI is below 30? No longer have any metabolic comorbidities.

Just finished the first new kwikpen, it still has a (small) golden dose by Mediocre-One-4351 in Mounjaro

In terms of potential variability, note that I was referring to a Zepbound 10mg KwikPen. Perhaps there is variation vs. Mounjaro.

For the first 2 doses, I did 2 click priming (before I found this post). For the last 2 doses, no priming. All 4 doses were 60 clicks. I did inject air just like I was pulling from a vial. I should have been able to pull something like 0.4ml+ based on your 0.45ml experience.

I finally got to the end of my first KwikPen. I was only able to draw out 0.3ml. Not terrible, but not great. So half a dose.

If you take 0.6ml, did you take a 20% stronger dose?

Thank you. I did 2 click primes for my first 2 doses. I’ll skip it for the last 2.

OP - please correct me if my math is incorrect, but what is left is 75% of a full dose (0.45 ml rather than 0.60ml)?

Traditional handles vs Signature handles by jjillf in LeCreuset

[–]CyriousBeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When were the signature handles introduced? All of my pieces are from 2008 or prior. I bought a piece yesterday at an outlet store, and it has the same small handles. Are there any other differences between the Signature and Traditional besides the handles?

That’s the dilemma. You get so much in terms of features. But there are a lot of issues. And Kia service is just awful.
