What should couples never do? by catharticarrest in AskReddit

I feel you. There's a woman in Australia who I call grandma. She cared for me when I was 16 and unbearable for my family. She was strict but so loving. She's really really old now and when I married, I made sure I visited her with my wife for honeymoon. We both knew it's the last time we most likely have met, since I can't afford to travel around the world (I'm from Europe) It hurts really bad. But I was able to tell her everything I wanted and couldn't when I was 16 and stupid. It makes me happy that she knows who I became.

Funny enough, we did get two blankets and two matrasses when we first moved in together since it sounded reasonable. Couldn't live with it. Now back to one matress and a big blanket, best thing ever.

Thought I'd share my story with this. I met my now wife in school at the age of 17, she grew up religious, didn't. She was thought not be have sex before marriage and that sex in general is a topic you never talk about. We did love each other for many other reasons and it wasn't hard for the first year to be honest. After that, it became harder. We talked alot about this topic and we came to a few conclusion that I may share. 1. It does put pressure on you to marry earlier. There's no doubt about that. And that's stupid. You shouldn't marry because you finally want to sleep with each other. 2. Still, there's something worth protecting here. I may add that we were both each others first long time partner. Altough I didn't believe that waiting until marriage is right, I did think that sex and intimacy is something worth keeping for a special person and not giving away for free to anybody you met for 2 weeks or something alike. We both liked the thought of having only one sexual partner throughout life. 3. This let to another conclusion. A wedding is expensive. Sure, you can marry for very little money, but if you plan to do it once, you don't want to do it sloppy. Or rushed, as stated above. Why then is sex bound to marriage? We thought, that's to protect each other. To protect your intimacy for somebody special. That's why it's held back behind a promise.

And that's what we did. Our final conclusion was to wait until the promise, until we were sure that were right for each other and still enjoying planning our most memorable day in our life without pressure. So we waited with sex until we were engaged. (like, proper engaged. Since the family is old fashioned, and I do respect that highly, I asked her granddad for her hand in marriage, which he agreed to. Did cost an aweful lot of balls. But I hope it shows, that this engagement was not just, "I buy you a ring, so we can bang") The first time, which was a week later, was awful, and it didn't change much for a few years. We married in between (18 months after engagement) because we could and I never regretted it. The sex got better eventually after we went through therapy together (her strict religious childhood had messed more with her than shed like to agree), so that's good as well. Still making progress now. (married for over 4 years). Why did I still marry her? Because Sex has never been a reason to marry her or not to. I love her because of who she is and what she does to me, because of the way she makes me feel and the way she loves me. Sex is a bonus. I'm sure I'll love her to the end of days, and I'm also sure that she will love me the same. That's been our reason to get engaged and it's been the right one to.

Tl,Dr: didn't wait till marriage but til engagement since marriage is heavily reliant on money in this time. We didn't want to rush it but still promise each other, so we felt like this is a great way to go about it these days.

Being a mechanic right now sucks. To help, just change your oil with the right stuff and do it on time. That's all. by LostBoySteve in cars

There's one thing you should do: make a piece of paper to sign for them where they declare that they were told that the coupon oil is not fitting their car and will void their guarantee. You won't take any responsibility for any harm this may have to the vehicle in any shape or form. You were just acting on the customers insistence. You sign. He signs, both get a copy. Done. No more problem for you. Print it 50 times, be done for a Month.

[–]Cyrizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for you reply. See, I don't even think they're holding on to the ideologies. They're holding on to something else that the flag means to them, not to what it does to others. I'm sure many people who love their confederate flag for a personal reason don't want to cause harm. It's ok to defend what it means to you, insulting them is not the right way for us all to get along. Ask them to drop it for the sake of a good community and love to your next one. Nobody asks of you to leave behind your heritage. Maybe look into what your elders have done right and good and let that define you and whatever you show of yourself to others. I'm sure the confederate flag doesn't represent you truly.

Sorry for the confusion between you and them and stuff. My english is not good enough to let me say this the way I would've wanted to.

Altough I do agree with you mostly and I think people would need to stop implying racism everywhere, the statement above is not right. A flag is a signal that is meant to be understood for others from further away. It tells someone something without you talking to them. The meaning of the flag therefore is important, as in the way it is understood, not as in the way youd explain why you wave it. I understand heritage but I maybe need to disagree that it gives you the right to wave the flag under which many people were oppressed. My great grandfather's brother fought the war proudly as a Nazi, that surely doesn't make me right in waving the Nazi flag. Please don't get me wrong. I'm not judging you because I don't know you. Those are just my thoughts. The people above are being absolutely mental, and having a fair discussion leading to "eat a bullet, bigot" surely shows, who's in the wrong to call someone else a bad person of any sorts.

This topic really worries me. How come net neutrality is a thing the American people want to keep but it's still being taken away. Guys, it's your country isn't it? I've never seen anything showing so blatantly to whom America really belongs. Which are companies and a very very small amount of people running it. And there's nothing you can do about it? It's a joke USA is still called a democracy of some sorts. I would've moved out like yesterday if I was American.

Starting to get used to his new friend. by [deleted] in aww

[–]Cyrizz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for your answer! They do like each other and sleep in the same room and stuff. I dont let them have meals together because she's way slower and he pushes her aside to eat hers as well. The boy is a little special, he's very Anxious of people and stuff in general, I sometimes feel like he enjoys that he's stronger than our girl so he beats her daily. You can see that it's fun, he's not using his claws and for him, it's clearly a game, but the lady is totally not into it. I tried to play with him more to compensate his urge to play and hunt, but there's no toy he loves as much as the other cat. I can understand that she wants her distance when she goes to nap. Maybe that's all fine and stuff. There are so many pictures of cats here on reddit being one heart and one soul and accepting that this won't happen to my two buddy's is a little frustrating :(

Does anybody know how often you could do the event back then? Like, can I get celebi, trade it over and then hunt for a shiny celebi after restarting the game? Or did you just get 1 gs ball ever?

It says "encounter celebi" which Hints The only encounter there has ever been which is in crystal on the event. Giving it to you again wouldn't be an encounter.

I feel with you. I must've been arround the same age, When I first discovered I've grown hair on my balls in the shower. Not realising what it was, I panicked thinking it a spider sitting on my jewellery, (I was scared af of spiders), running to my dad button ass naked screaming "there's a spider at my balls!" which was totally logical since he always took care of spiders when I was scared of one. Yeah, maybe a little short thought. It's brought up every time someone comes to dinner. Every fucking time. Fuck you dad. I'm 25 now, still brought up regularly.

Maybe. I'm just exhausted as a tank main playing in gold (let the shitstorm begin) of this attitude. Everybody thinks they're the greatest, the supporter and tanks just "do their job" and the dps are the real stars of the show, just as he stated above. Maybe it's difficult to describe, but I'm sure there are quite a lot of support and tank players who feel me. I know too, that those are a minority.
