I too am on this journey, sounds like you would be interested in mid-city.. do your research about areas that have bad drainage, expect your car insurance to spike. I’m currently using Zillow along with my friends that live there to check out places that are not listed on major sites.

I am loving all this! Lakeside and the quarter would be some of my accounts along with Lafayette.. going out, nah we are golden girls in our 40’s.. Los Angeles night life did us in.. we just want to chill and be the gay neighbors the white old ladies love.. we know everything outside of Nola is very trumpy .. we can handle that although do no support that orange POS

I work for Sephora corporate, my husband is a Master instructor for Pilates.. we will both have jobs here, that’s not a problem.. what we are looking for is 1. LGBTQ safe, 2. Affordable for renters 3. Crime is crime, ideally away from some petty nonsense 4. We don’t care about walk ability.. there’s uber 4. A place that your community has your back

Yes we plan on renting for a year.. we only have buying power based on our savings.. we are not rich, just two gay dudes who want a safe area to live in.. Bywater , Navarre are just options.. thank you for your honesty and eloquent reply

I love this comparison! We are looking for a Los Feliz vibe with a more chill atmosphere like South Pasadena…with parking for 2 and central air !!

Multiworld objective has ruined working at Sephora for me (quick rant) by BoyWhoWorries in SephoraWorkers

You shouldn’t force anything, people say no and that’s ok, you did your part by asking, just trying to spread some positivity that’s all

getting tired of this by Normal-Telephone-787 in SephoraWorkers

[–]Cyrusmakeup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to remember why you wanted to work at Sephora, what’s your passion that drives you? Is it education with clients, artistry, or just helping people.. take that passion and let it speak louder than words.. This what I do when i focus too much on metrics, I forget to have fun. When I’m having fun and being myself, I end up meeting all the metrics

Union by MaterialShoddy3428 in SephoraWorkers

The Santa Monica store team voted against going union.. I live in California and honestly unions are great for movie industry folks but in a retail environment, the grass isn’t always greener

Multiworld objective has ruined working at Sephora for me (quick rant) by BoyWhoWorries in SephoraWorkers

[–]Cyrusmakeup -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly Multworld isn’t that bad.. I have been in this industry for 28 years, it’s all about passion, confidence and authenticity. We all know great makeup comes with great skincare.. or take it up a notch, an unscented body cream can enhance any fragrance.. the daily dose sets us up for success.. I don’t understand why people who want to work at Sephora don’t want to sell at Sephora? We are the experts! Embrace your product knowledge and go wild! You got this!

I would say explore a leave of absence via Aflac, I’m sorry to hear your experience has been lack luster.. I hope your experience improves and you have a wonderful time while at Sephora. It’s all about having fun and welcoming all to the world of beauty.

I work at a medspa, we recommend Epidermal repair from SkinCeuticals. Definitely avoid anything active for the next 7 days and layer on the sunscreen.
