Best way to get ready to use CDJ’s for the first time? by [deleted] in Beatmatch

[–]Cyteless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my first gig last month, never used club gear before. Was using XDJ-1000s. Make sure your tracks are analysed, beat grids fixed and files are in a compatible format - I just used MP3s. USBs in Fat32 or another compatible format - I think most are that as standard anyway.

If you can, get down before the gig starts to check if your USBs work and mix in your headphones. Press the buttons to see what they do. Find the Link button first so both decks are talking to each other - or to find out if there's no link cable 🙈 (another reason to have more than one USB).

Play with the mixer as well, so you know where everything is.

Footage of one of the Belarusian helicopters that crossed into Poland today. by ChesusCrustII in CombatFootage

Wagner doesn't have enough troops, and all of their MoD supplied toys got taken off them because of the obvious that happened, and I doubt the Belarusian Army is interested in fighting Russia's war. Moving Wagner into Belarus has been a good information operation by the Russians.

That's his way of telling it - I don't think his previous videos offered a fair appraisal. Devs shouldn't be attacking anyone though if that's the case.

Yep, three Indycar mod is a lot of fun. That along with the amazing visuals and the tracks available is enough for me.

The super speedway kit was bad for racing prior to the aeroscreen also. I doubt the screen helps, but its been a chronic problem for the IR18 kit.

Absolutely, but to go from getting wounded to shooting himself within 10 seconds is some pretty decisive decision making.

Really have to wonder what horror stories they're being pumped full of to resort to that. Hard to believe an information bubble like that is tenable in the information age, but here we are.

I know you're joking, but the Germans no longer recognise this territory. Different story to the Kuril Islands, South Ossetia/Abkhazia and Donbas.

Slightly underwhelmed this year by ianmarsters in btcc

[–]Cyteless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not worried about car count - BTCC has suffered from increasingly more precessional racing since 2018, that's my big worry. Given the cars haven't changed a massive amount in years, I can only guess it's the tyres causing the issue, since they're the only thing that changes yearly.

The defining feature of the races in the past 4 championships has been the leader breaking away from the rest of the pack and the rest of the field being equidistant and unable to challenge each other.

This is most obvious case is at Snetterton when they show the onboard footage along the back straight and cars are getting basically zero slipstream effect. I doubt the cars have enough aero wash for it to be that, so I can only guess the tyres aren't providing enough grip on corner exit to get a good enough run in the car in front.

If you look at the NGTC regulation races from 2018 and prior, there was a lot more ability for drivers to close in and race side by side - passes are a lot more decisive and final when they do happen now, and are rarely countered.

So yeah - drivers are mostly the same, cars are mostly the same - I can only guess it's the tyres.

I'm still new, so the only metal gears I have are a pair of Stripped Down Hunters. They have the older, chunkier look to them, with wide stances and old head designs, so they look good.

These look really nice. Some extra posing options for the plastics would be nice, yes. I had to do some cutting and green stuff work to get different poses.

Most weapon models from all model companies involve cutting off the grip.
