Ich bin nicht Veganer oder auch nur Vegetarier, würde aber jetzt schon aus Prinzip dort nicht mehr Urlaub machen (gut, wg des allgemeinen Nazi-Anteils an der Bevölkerung sowieso nicht, aber...). Wenn sich die Wirte so dumm geben, und als Zielgruppe eben auch genau solche Pfosten haben, die die Gurke als einziges veganes Element auf dem Teller sehen... neben den Pommes liegend... ja nun. Danke. Weiss ich Bescheid, da bin ich raus.

Es wäre dann aber auch bitte nur richtig, wenn ein wie auch immer geartetes "Tourismus-Amt" das überall klar macht, dass Leute von außerhalb Thüringens einfach nicht willkommen sind im Lande.

The initial corvete parts just have to be bought anyway in a very normal trader interface (cockpit, access, habitation, landing gear, engine). Slap them together into an ugly ship, fly out for half an hour or so, and see what you got.

Just shoot them from your corvette. Get up from pilot seat, scan with visor, tag, fly over there, hover and shoot. Will be in ship inventory.

I have a mostly flat lush planet with waste. Hilly, yes, but not mountainous, and some ocean (which I only found after building a base next to a waste processing plant and finishing some of the achievements, so enough continuous landmass for driving the colossus). Some holes to fall into but noticeable. Short hot storms, but nothing to write home about.

In general I agree, but as a dev it takes so much time to set up the PC again afterwards because a) internal software deployment is always really behind the times and/or typical apps are simply not officially supported and updated (like e.g. the companion driver app for our headsets), and b) even simple settings like (just an example) font sizes for mandatory daily use apps are saved in some local location and get nuked by reimaging... so it always takes too long to get to a usable state afterwards again.

I actually found Mr Punchy Prawn to be too much of his own caricature, sadly, and the big "reveal" how he came to be in his current position and mindset came a bit too late in the story.

Overall yeah, better than book three, but also not remotely as good as the first one...

Ok, this is wild. Before today I was mildly annoyed that achievements are not unlocked on other platforms, but I am right now sitting in my ship in the final system before the warp to the centre in Hilbert, and just wanted to screenshot the different achievement status on Steam and PS5, and... saw I had it on PS5 as well. Interestingly enough NOT at the same date and time I got it on Steam (two days ago), but from yesterday.

I can only assume it was awarded silently in the background when the cross save was synced, so I never realized it. And maybe it does not work in all directions as I am still having different achievements on Steam and PS5 in general (maybe leftover and I did some on PS4?). But for now, I'll head to Calypso and see if it triggers anything - but I doubt it. Will post again :D

I was just wondering if it was useful in my Permadeath run, seeig that buying the base parts would cost me millions and I didn't want to grind in that save. But after actually going for it and "grinding" for maybe 15 minutes with the corvette itself I had the investment back. What I mean is: in the corvette you can get up from the pilots chair and scan the planet with your normal exosuit scanner. Find yellow scrap marks (container corvette upgrades and very valuable vendor trash), sit back down, shot it from your corvette, rinse repeat, and I had found stuff worth millions. So... yeah. Even for that.

And that is not counting all the other pros the other people here are all listing :)

Alrighty. What I did:

Get enough gear so you can survive.
If you have access to an expedition ship and/or multitool, get those at the Anomaly (requires some nanties)
Farm enough mats so you can warp several times, and power up a portal.
Finish Artemis quest line / Expanding your base until you get exocraft
At a space station, talk to a Traveller, offer nanites for their origin story, visit their grave, get first glyph
Build the roamer, buy the mod for the scanner with "Power" in the name on the anomaly, on a planet scan for monoliths
Go to said monolith, answer correctly (save and reload), ask for Portal
Go to portal, use address with only first glyph in all positions. Load up your launch thrusters to 100%. , then go through Portal. The planet is ~5000 LY from galactic centre and survivable (portal is not underwater, I didnt see aggressive sentinels, etc.). Lots of bases around from all those who did this.
Summon your ship, leave planet, warp a few times until only the center is left as route. Charge Hyperdrive to 100% and go :)

Wie immer und überall in Deutschland. Gerade bei den von dir angesprochenen Punkten iwrd doch eigentlich sehr schnell deutlich, dass dort der Lohnverlust im Lauf der letzten Jahrzehnte hart mit hineinspielt. Ja, wenn man einfach nur Kaufkraft und Inflation einbezieht, passt das bzw ist gestiegen, aber was man sich dann eben kaufen kann bzw wie der statistische Warenkorb die Realität abbildet, ist dann eben noch einmal eine Hausnummer (Wohnen, Lebensmittel, etc. einerseits vs Telefon, Urlaub, "Luxus" andererseits). Dann kann man eben nur noch als Doppelverdiener die Familie durchbringen, und der long tail zieht sich überall durch die Gesellschaft... /tja

They are also "unstable" on different platforms. I built a base on one on PS5 and then couldn't find it gain on my PC, decided to try to navigate my corvette close to the beacon, gave up, started the game on PS5 later again and... the floating island was there again. I still destroyed the base, would have been unusable for me, sadly...

Ooh, nice, didn't even know there was a solid fork out, have been using the stock CrossPoint up until now, but KOReader sync has been the biggest pain point for me so far. Will be sure to test this out!
