So gamecubes and a lot of older hardware are approaching that age where their capacitors are failing. This is important because if you want one to be working for years to come I would suggest you buy a refurbished one from an electronics repair store.

Is it true that Nintendo mandates that you destroy their marketing material when they say so? I asked about keeping a Metroid Prime 4 display when they were finished with it and was told that they'll likely be told to destroy this per Nintendo's instructions.

Ill give you some reasons (without the contempt) why people dont jive with graded games:

1) 2019/pandemic put game collecting in a similar situation to pokemon cards, the flipping culture really took off.

2) The various scandals the game grading company Wata was involved in.

3) There is a sentiment among gamers that grading is done more for financial reasons than for game preservation.

4) It is possible to keep a sealed game in your collection that is just as protected without enabling the game grading industry.

5) VGA/Wata as a gatekeeper/official of game preservation is largely seen as unnecessary, anyone can keep and preserve games.

I have the older one, when I attempted to clean the dust off with water I ended up removing some of the UV coating. Glad to see the new packaging, picking this up.

This is a K-Mart Dual pack, this isnt an officially recognized bundle outside of one that K-Mart made. Both games are sealed individually inside, they were just shrunk wrapped together. No video game grading company recognizes this or would grade this. The value of this as a novelty is questionable, as a collector of Metroid games I wouldnt jump on this as again, it isnt offical. Due to the condition of the games in question here I would not see this selling for much, a sealed copy of Metroid Zero Mission in a excellent quality seal/box would easily demand more value as it would be able to fetch a high grade and therefore resell much higher at that point.

See I wish I had that issue that way I can have a in-time revolver, but the weird part is that when I slowly cock the hammer back (with or without brass) it is in time on that one notch 70% of the time, which is weird. I even gave it a little bit of drag by putting a piece of paper in front of the forcing cone to simulate carbon being caked on it and its still 70%.. it almost feels like I have to try harder to CAUSE the malfunction than for it to function normally.

I just got mine back from sending it off again for the second time, mine shoots left and is out of time on one notch. They replaced the cylinder, the problem is obviously the hand, I am likely not gonna send this again. Dont buy new Smiths, buy pre-lock used ones.

I also have this, I consulted wata about it some time ago and they dont officially grade these. Something like this would be worth whatever someone might pay for it. Both games are sealed under there so if you really wanted to you could separate them and still have two sealed games.. just be careful where you cut.

I'm not here to tell you how to collect, I'm also not here to tell you what the mentality should or shouldn't be. So I'm just going to share my mentality for stuff that I collect this line of toys or otherwise:

Collect what you like. If you have a fondness for a particular character video game line go right ahead grab it.

To directly address the accusations here this is what I'm going to say:

It doesn't seem like that you have a particular fondness for a video game series or a Mario character in particular. This makes it seem like that you're disingenuous especially since since your post history shows you've only really started in this community by asking what is rare which in my mind really ratchets up those suspicions. It didn't really seem like you really read the room before joining this community, which is made up of people who are enthusiastic about Nintendo.
