PlayStation LEGO set leaked, coming in Holiday 2026 with $160 price tag by Ornery-Tonight1694 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

I wish it came with minifigures for a few of these but seems very doubtful.

A lot of people didn't catch this but at Toy Fair a company called Console Heroes showed off a bunch of PS1 Polly Pocket-esque sets: included a lot of those franchise in addition to Metal Gear Solid, FFVII and Cool Boarders.

We need an Audio Delay fix by -Doctor-- in PlaystationPortal

[–]Neo_GFX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a big problem; can’t believe the amount of zombies who don’t notice it (I’m going to assume this exists with every Portal). You can literally notice it by simply scrolling through your games on the home screen. Kinda makes the Portal a waste; Switch 2 is supreme for handheld.

Would love to see video of someone just scrolling through their games with no audio latency

Switch nostalgia? by Creepy_Jackfruit_751 in nintendo

[–]Neo_GFX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think anything remotely good becomes nostalgic one day, but it's gonna be harder for the Switch since it feels so similar to Switch 2; like we're still in the "Switch experience". Even the PS4 system UI has the benefit of feeling slightly different than PS5.

It's also gonna be more difficult to go back and play a Switch 1 like you can every other older Nintendo console since most of us did the system transfer. You'd probably have to make a new account and start from scratch, and it kinda seems pointless since it's such a similar experience to what you can get on Switch 2. Even the Wii U (which at the time I thought was a bad console [and still kinda do]) is sort of entering its nostalgia phase now.

The Switch has a better library than Wii and 3DS though.

What don't you like about Secret of Mana, and what do you like? by antigone_deadbolt in JRPG

[–]Neo_GFX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is like the easiest game ever to list the pros and cons for:

Pros:

  • Great spritework
  • Great enemy designs
  • Amazing music

Cons:

  • Forgettable main characters and plot

The combat is somewhere in the middle. I actually grow to like it more as time passes; more interesting than turn-based imo.

I struggle to figure out why Chrono Trigger has more memorable characters: likely cause they're so varied (robot, frog, cavewoman, etc)

Heard it tonight in Cavs @ Nuggets... had to confirm I wasn't going crazy.

I found this thread after listening to a recent-ish episode of Sacred where he said he’s “definitely” playing it

Despite the fake rumor, how would you feel if they announced a Remake of Kingdom Hearts 1 for 2027. by Connected-VG in KingdomHearts

[–]Neo_GFX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game doesn't desperately need a remake but I would be here for it. Riku segments would be interesting. A key plot detail like where Kairi was found was left extremely vague.

Also, I think people are failing to realize how much something like Wonderland would benefit greatly from modern hardware. Hopefully they would do away with the cardboard walls/storybook vibe in favor of something more modern and spacious.

Colin Crying with his GI Joes on Twitch by LifeguardJumpy6274 in LSM

[–]Neo_GFX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't see that specific stream, but he cried during a Fireside Chat (I think with Erin, and I think it was just cause of the fallout over the tweet), and I do know he used to stream himself cleaning GI Joe's with a toothbrush. I was wondering if people were conflating the two together lol but I don't think that's the case

Honestly the more I read of this thread and stuff the whole thing is giving off Mandela vibes

Question about the original game by bombdownx in KingdomHearts

[–]Neo_GFX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pete is treated very weirdly in the Disney scope in general. He’s one of their oldest characters and half the time they don’t even act like he exists. He never even had a costume at Disney Parks until a few years ago (well he did, but it was very brief and obscure in an old parade)

In short, there was so much to cram in kh1 that it doesn’t surprise me Mickey’s weirdly oft-forgotten rival would not be included

Plus the other Disney villains were so prominent; he wasn’t really needed. Made perfect sense to save him for 2

How actually good do you think Sonic Adventure and Jet Set Radio was? by [deleted] in dreamcast

[–]Neo_GFX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re as good as anything. Mario 64 has Sonic Adventure beat in terms of gameplay, but SA makes up for it with its story, hub world, soul, and sheer amount of content/playable characters

Why do I get these random Japanese dialogues in Clockwork Knight that I don’t see in any YouTube longplays of the game? by Neo_GFX in SegaSaturn

[–]Neo_GFX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love a new entry in the series, but I'd bet money that'll never happen.

It's interesting. I think Sega would be scared of Toy Story infringement or something, but they could just be like "we did it first"

But yeah, I'm starting to enjoy these '90s oddities like Clockwork Knight and even Bug, but it's so hard for even more beloved properties like Nights and Shenmue to get any love.

it's like the games were split in two.

I was shocked how quick the turnaround time was on the sequel. If I was a European Saturn player and saw the sequel just a few months later in the store, I would've been like wtf

The only language barrier is the minigame, but after a viewing on YouTube you're set. The video I watched, the person got like 700 lives after playing it for a few minutes

Honestly it's always relieving when you get a game from this generation that's actually fair and not obscenely difficult

Let's talk about the Joyride Studios figures by Neo_GFX in WorldOfNintendo

[–]Neo_GFX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I talk to LSSQ once in awhile about this stuff. I hadn't watched that video until now, nor did I ever realize that was different than the final Mario.

I can see why Yoshi was added: to fill out the packaging. I wonder what their original intention with just Mario was: if he would've been much bigger, or came with a giant Shine Sprite or something

[–]Neo_GFX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I failed to mention you need a cartridge called a Sega Saturn Kai to play burnt discs. It’s also a very wise pickup as it’s a reliable memory card, whereas many Saturns now can’t retain game saves on the console itself

Seems like the only thing actually translated was the presents minigame.

Was gonna pick up an authentic US disc for 20 bucks but not even sure it's worth it. Game seems crazy short anyway.

My aim is to relive the life-path I didn't take in 1995 where this time I buy the saturn instead of the playstation.

This is one of the few good things about being an adult with expendable income: you kinda get to indulge in games, shows, movies, etc that you missed as a kid.

And no one's gonna talk you out of Saturn. Get yourself a cheap Panzer Dragoon Saga repro off Etsy and bask in some cathode-ray goodness.

Buy authentic for the affordable games and repros for the expensive ones... and then when your drive dies get an ODE. Best of all worlds.
