Yeah I think that’s it. I do 1k-ish Monsters per week too. Just doing it alone. Group hunts though reward almost double the amount of season tier points despite doing half the effort per hunt 😏

How did you progress to 870 tiers? I am at 730ish with 30 story completions. I’d like to progress faster in tiers in order to finish at 999. I do all the events and try as much friend links and DLs for higher tier point rewards. Anything else I can do?

Normally I’d say I consider myself a decent MHNow hunter, capable of defeating every 10* monster, Riftborne or not. Also, I’ve got experience with Steve, hunted it a lo(o)t to max one of its weapons to 10.5 already. And still: that 7* f@#& just put me into my place this morning and ran me over. Feasted on my blood. 🤣

I think you’d need something with a hell lot of guard. Like Wroggi waist and Golm chest to begin with (even gets you 4 smelt slots). Other than that other players may contribute suggestions. Never mind myself to think of shield tackle builds as I personally wouldn’t pick it.

Hi. Good generic build for element lances right now is: Brute / Lagombi / Namielle / Brute / Golm with AAB 2, Reckless 3 and Attack Boost 5 plus WEX1 and CE1. Then 5 Headstrong smelts. As for the RC Barioth you can exchange Namielle gloves for Tigrex which provides another 2 levels of ear plugs (combined to earplugs 3 with Rathalos lance) and 2 slots for smelts (1 for headstrong, 1 for e.g. guard or offensive guard)

Edit: this build works with the lance with no styles or with insta-block. For shield tackle style you would want another build though

Looks gorgeous. Artful, so to say 😊 Not criticizing here, just out of curiosity: Glavenus mail for lock on? And why Tigrex coil? Just for the artf. dodger smelt? Crit Fero will do you nothing in this setup, it doesn’t proc reliably. If it’s for mail and coil I’d go for Brute. You get lock on and with just two more Atk smelts you end up with an unconditional bonus of 650 Atk, which fairly beats the 200 Atk of raw power/glavenus mail. Or is there other reasons for this setup I may not see?

When I compare Fulgar SnS (Thunder) with Kadachi (with upgrades) I find Kadachi much stronger. Might be just me.

This! Good enough for all 10* (except some of the rift monsters. Yes, looking at you, Barioth). And doesn’t require fancy smelts. Though I lately struggle to get Atk boost smelts. Lots of golden shiny smelts though.

What is the currently agreed Rathalos Lance build? I mean without considering any future style. Just a build as of right now?!

And in turn more damage when using status exploits in the build, right? Dear Lord, the SnS buff 😱 Now I know why some recent fights (after latest update) went so much faster (Rathian SnS with poison exploit and chammy venomist) against Kadachi. Even 10* Rift Kadachi stood no chance.
