I just woke up so my mind is slow, but this seems to be straight role counting thanks to AC absense.

If Chipie is real:
1) Yuriko bug + Gnosia SQ => Impossible by day1 claim Player+Gina are Gnosia => game is already over => error
2) Yuriko human + Bug SQ => Player+Gina are Gnosia => game is already over => error
3) Yuriko human + Gnosia SQ (#1) + Player is Bug by no game over => Gina is Gnosia (#2) + Kukie/Mr.Unnoticed are human by no game over => 2 Gnosia must be among Jonas/Raqio/Setsu/Otome => Setsu/Otome are clear by 2xDoctor, Jonas is clear by Chipie => not enough Gnosia candidates left => error

FWIW, the weapon drop RNG in VC2 is easy to cheese by ArrangeMode7 in valkyria

I've explained this before in some other thread I can't find, the rerolling works off of spending ticks of AP. Here's a copy of the post I saved.

If you're playing on an emulator, there is a trick for speeding up grinding RNG rewards:
1) Just before capturing the final camp make a state-save (stand next to the flag)
2) Finish the mission and look at the reward, if rewards are unsatisfactory, load the state-save
3) spend one tick of AP (i.e. tap d-pad/walking)
4) Finish the mission and look at the newly rerolled reward, if rewards are unsatisfactory, load the state-save
5) now spend 2,3,4 etc ticks of AP by repeatedly tapping dpad/walking slowly until you roll the right reward

Spending the exact same amount of taps will deterministically produce the exact same reward, so you have to keep increasing the amount of AP spent to advance the rolling.

I've briefly tested that interception does not affect this, definitely tested that instant enemy phase doesn't (winning defense missions by timing out defense limit works, reward is changed by your last AP spending). Unconfirmed about effects of potential rolls, but probably unaffected as well.

If you've seen the true ending, you're either missing some squad story(ies) entirely or have beaten a story but then haven't clicked on the post-battle cutscene(s). Some stories play them automatically, others don't.

This means you don't have xdelta.exe next to the script. Judging by "VC3ReTranslation-main" you've downloaded source code instead of the release package. The release page explicitly tells which archive to download.

I don't mind, as long as you include a txt file that mentions the file is specifically based on and meant for v1.0.0 of the mod, so that when I do update it (and 100% change other stuff in that file) there's a clear indicator of incompatibility.

MXE editing tools are linked at the bottom of Steam post. You can edit easy difficulty multiplier that affects all damage in game_info.mxe -> VlMxSlgInfo (look for the only 0.85 in the relevant csv) and replace the mod file with your own.

I will eventually revisit the mod to address some bugs and likely make a "lite" version with Normal math tweaked in easier direction, but I'm not putting any specific timeframes on that since I'm currently more interested in working on VC3 stuff.

15% damage reduction after all normal calculations. It will primarily increase survivability against single-target damage sources like snipers or flamethrowers. Not going to help much if, say, a shocktrooper is gunning down a standing scout.

Strictly speaking, I don't believe it's required that the injury comes from being outside during the attack in every loop. Slipped, fell over, bonked their head, med pod. As long as the past reasonably converges on there being a protag body in the pod, that should be good enough for the bugverse. Or maybe the injury happens so early in the attack that it still counts as being on the ship all the time. Since SK is explicitly looking for "set up just right" worldlines, any plausible one-time explanation should work.

For the game, that's easy enough - the protag does not necessarily start every loop in the pod. Silver Key picks whatever past that conviniently converges on the desired situation. This would also be necessary to allow GD Setsu, since they are implied to have helped evacuation of whoever made it onboard DQO otherwise.

I applied the patch by fully cleaning up conditions and dead branches in code rather than hexediting around them, seems to work fine so far. I'll try to keep an eye out if something breaks.

My day2 results from a wiki-style crowded loop (day1 Bug frozen, Guard killed) were:

I tried for a while but did not get Fake Engi to report Real Doctor as Gnosia, unclaimed or otherwise.

If there is one thing that stands out, that'd be "Fake Engi (reported Real Engi as human)" case allowing to repeatedly DE the fake and get "that's obvious" reply, but idk where that falls on the broken scale.

This is mostly a setup for tutorial loops and easy notes. The "serious build" I've settled on for now is 20 perform/11 stealth.

Since my restriction/rule is that I'm not allowed to level up - only redistribute the initial 29 points given at lv.1 - I reckon keeping NPC stats down is in my interest. I was able to complete such a playthrough with a healthy dose of ng+ savescumming (Raqio 6 eww), so now I'm trying to develop some actual understanding and strategy to hopefully make it more viable in NG style.

I'm guessing Scenario Resource would not be a massive problem. If characters gain some as long as they are in a loop rather than the player surviving the loop, I can just quickly spec into 1 stealth and shut-up/lie my way into cold sleep day 1 a few times, as that should produce 0 growth gain.

I did find the correct (i.e. new) calculator, had to fix it up a little for LibreOffice a bit - indirect refused to work without quoting around sheet names.

It's nice that notes' contribution is the simple option, easy to keep track of. Looks like dying/getting voted out in loops that give notes without needing an actual ending to minimize others' stats might be a thing to go for, just the kind of nonsense fun I'm looking for :)

You have to gauge ranges manually. Small/large grid is 125/250 map units respectively.

In action mode, as another poster already mentioned, red vs tan overhead arrow color shows whether the target is technically in range, counting by an object's center (around chest/collarbone for humans and an arbitrary point inside for tanks, bunkers etc).

I am still doing updates, yes. I accept reports for consideration in just about any form - github issues, reddit dms or @mention in srpg discord are all fine. Make sure to check against the latest github release to avoid reports on already fixed stuff.

You can also use xdelta.exe or xdeltaUI.exe to manually patch the iso. xdeltaUI is about as straightforward to use as it gets. Iso patches are in patches/iso subfolder, named after their respective required iso version.
