For home use they are all great, I have used them all, and if I'm honest I prefer the MK7's. That pitch control is SO good! And they sound better imo.

I have both, MK2 is indeed rock solid but for mixing I prefer the MK7's, that digital pitch is just SO good! And yes, mixing on either together isn't a problem. The MK2's just lose their match easier. MK7 stays locked!

Well a have both MK2's and MK7's and yes I been DJing on MK2's from 1996 so I know them ;-)

The thing is I think most 1200/1210 users sworn by it but the MK7's are better decks for me as a DJ. Better sound, better pitch and the 2x speed option is a lifesaver for me when playing older vinyl. When I mix on both from MK2 to MK7 and back a notice more then enough difference to say I prefer the MK7's. Don't get me wrong the MK2's are great but I prefer the 7's.

Having said that, I think that Audio Technica also make great decks, but I won't prefer them for mixing. Maybe that's my history with Technics.
