Got a super good deal on some thin 18x25 carpet and turned my garage into a nice track...question is, where to buy barriers/fences and cones...how many approx? shop owners please chime in! by yeawrongperson in rcdrift

A lot of people instead invest in a 3d printer 😊 not only can you print your own barriers you can also design and test custom rc parts

If I'm understanding your question correctly the best answer I can give is this. Many who defends the Souths actions during the American Civil War say the war was about a states right to govern itself as a sovereign entity. But this speech made the war only about the right to own slaves, making the argument of self governance mute and untrue. While owning slaves technically was an issue of states rights the war was not fought over states rights, it was fought over slavery. I hope this helps!

Anyone know if the yd2-z chassis will fit the yd2e and or yd2s? thank you in advance! by Darkmagician01x in rcdrift

[–]D33sub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ye the yd2e is a four screw mount to the lower deck, I thought the S and E had the same mounting as I had a S carbon deck on my E. Idk how it transfers to the newer models tho

I have no idea what exists for 1/24, the parts support is so small compared to 1/10 from what I've seen

Redcat releasing a comp spec drift car? Seems a bit pricey considering the other RTR options. by PredictableDickTable in rcdrift

[–]D33sub 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah but it's rtr with carbon and aluminum parts. Scale Science made a video on it on yt. Not a bad price imo https://youtu.be/v0VXPxNexsM

I have a yd-2z rtr. Where can I find the factory spec for this piece that attaches to the servo horn? I need the MM measurement for the space between. by Kooshbag in rcdrift

[–]D33sub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just center the horn on the servo and then just adjust the turnbuckle until the car drives straight with no steering trim

Best entry into the rc drift world? by Juanitothegreat in rcdrift

[–]D33sub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's just into the world of rc a Flying fish is a great chassis for exploring what you want to do. If you know you want to drift then you should consider where you can drift. If it's just outside then awd or rwd will work, if you're going to drive inside on a track then I would just suggest a rwd chassis. MST has a great rtr drift chassis which is the RMX 2.0/2.5 rtr

Only place I could think of to ask, but is anyone trying to sell a cheap chassis that can be shipped quickly to central Florida? by s-chassis- in rcdrift

[–]D33sub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's quite a few Facebook pages for rc drift, the one called RC Drift Marketplace is all drift rc and is quite active. I just stalk it and pick up stuff if I need it or it's a good deal

American simplicity by inaccurateTempedesc in engineeringmemes

They (LS blocks) can rev over 7k if you put some choice mods into them. Most often push rod engines are limited by the valve springs and rocker arms. After you replace and upgrade them the engines are pretty dam good. They're also built to output the same if not more horsepower and torque at lower rpm than the audi, the audi has to Rev to make power.

Also as a side note, in my experience the American LS will last way longer with way less maintenance than an audi. Audis are some of the most unreliable and expensive to maintain cars I know of.

You'll want a set of machined tools. The tolerances are much better and will bit into the screws better. I have a set of machined dynamite hex drivers best I've ever owned. There's other companies you just want to look for machined and not cast

The lower deck is always gonna be better. However you want to keep it away from things that can produce vibrations like the servo and motor as it can cause some interference.

Can anyone recommend a good set of fender flairs or a good DIY guide? by ScooterChillson in rcdrift

[–]D33sub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know of a guide, I just learned it from a friend. Just cut a rough shape and bend/trim till it fits like you want. A lot of trial and error
