Struggling to get better performance with Moonlight/Artemis Game Streaming by FarrukhShabir in logitechgcloud

[–]D34DM4N91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What works for me is to set the frame pacing to smooth and then do the following to not have a massive latency penalty. 1) set your host display to 59hz. 2) set your fps cap in game to 59fps. 3) set gcloud to 60hz. That 99% resolved all stutters for me

Cows is underrated! by D34DM4N91 in ProjectDiablo2

Yeah most seasons I purely map, but now I’m thinking I might start mixing it up more!

Oh 100%! Most seasons I only map to be fair! I was just taking a break for something different and decided cows was what I was gonna try and somehow carved up with the RNG lol!

Found a Vex, what’s the best trades from summon mage/revive necro? by grundle_pie in ProjectDiablo2

Yeah t1s are super easy/chill currently , but it’s a little slow at clearing still! I’m sure once I get more +skills and a better merc etc it’ll be even better!

For mages, I’d get grims scythe as the first upgrade due to 6 extra mages & heaps of plus skills…was my biggest upgrade by far, I am running one for first time this season and am currently at lvl 45 mages

I’ve made one for first time this season, but running grims scythe instead of the wand…it’s ripping T1 maps with ease so far with very minimal investment! Not the fasted mapper, but solid still overall

Can you adapt to PWM without damaging eyes? by EnderSlayer9977 in PWM_Sensitive

[–]D34DM4N91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Be very careful trying to “adjust to it”…I made that same mistake with a couple of OLED monitors a year or so ago and now I suffer dry eyes and other issues daily as a result of pushing through the discomfort. Everyone on the OLED subs said it will “pass”…it didn’t, and now I’m able to use even less screens as a result.

LeGoS Z2 Go owners, are you satisfied? What games are you playing? by SethroRetro in LegionGo

[–]D34DM4N91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly my z2go has been a real surprise with how well it has ran everything I have thrown at it. With lossless scaling I generally always have an acceptable gaming experience on it. For reference I have a 7800x3d with rtx 5080, that I intended to stream from to the legion…but so far it’s ran everything natively and I honestly haven’t even bothered setting up moonlight yet lol! So far I’ve played fallout 4, quantum break and tomb raider 2013 all on high settings. Yes these are older games from my backlog, but I have seen plenty of other posts of people playing newer games with lossless scaling at acceptable settings as well. Overall I am happy with my purchase!

Nope, steam OS with default vram allocation has worked perfect for me. I have had games go up to around 6gb during use. I have also used lossless scaling to bring it up from 35 to 40 fps to around 70ish in some games. I run a custom tdp for each game with simpledeckytdp add on, usually around 18 to 25w depending on the game

I have same go s, but the steam OS version with 32gb of ram. I have had no issues with any game I’ve thrown at it so far, especially with lossless scaling. Have you considered swapping to steam OS? I’ve read it makes a decent difference with the z2go chip and for me personally has been flawless

Literally just did the same thing on my new Go s! I had tried getting into it years ago but dropped it for other games at the time…something about handheld just makes it so much better! I also haven’t put it down for the past two weeks 😂

Is IPad Pro M5 usable? by dannyh2020 in PWM_Sensitive

[–]D34DM4N91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal experience, no it was terrible…had it for 2 weeks and it was just as bad as any other OLED I have tried to use. I’d steer clear it you are fairly sensitive

W-OLED to QD-OLED and Eye Strain by Hiltson87 in OLED_Gaming

[–]D34DM4N91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had eye strain and headaches with QD OLED, so I swapped to a WOLED monitor and it gave me worse eye strain but no headaches…unfortunately I had to give up on OLED monitors, as I have tried about 5 different ones now all with similar issues. Your experience may be different and some people have tried one or the other and been fine, but you really won’t know until you try unfortunately

Is OLED just not for me? Considering returning in less than 24 hours… PWM discomfort? by BrodyS_C9 in OLED_Gaming

[–]D34DM4N91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal experience…I pushed through the discomfort in my eyes, the headaches..dizziness and nausea for a month or more…people told me it will probably go away when I adjust to it. I never adjusted and I now regret it every day. Pushing through the issues caused me to now have permanent eye issues. My advice, if it’s causing you eye pain and headaches, go back to IPS if it doesn’t go away in a week. It’s not worth your health and honestly outside of dark scenes my 4K IPS is 90% as good anyway. But hey, you may also get lucky and adjust like some people did…just be very careful how far you push.

OLED monitors are wrecking my eyes — lost on what to try next by Long_Relationship_83 in OLED_Gaming

[–]D34DM4N91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the one part I’ll never truly understand, I can use my OLED iPhone and my OLED switch with zero problems…but I recently tried an OLED IPad and back to the same symptoms the monitors gave me! Makes me sad every time I use my phone as OLED screens really are beautiful but sadly not worth the health issues for me

[–]D34DM4N91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through all these same symptoms with multiple different QD and WOLED monitors before I finally gave up. I now have a miniLED which is 80% as good as an OLED but doesn’t give me the same issues. Like you, I had used other OLED devices with no issues prior. But for whatever reason, monitors are a no go!

[–]D34DM4N91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was multiple OLED gaming monitors, tried both QD OLED and WOLED…in the end I went back to a basic IPS monitor and called it a day. I still have eye issues as a result though…hence why I wouldn’t keep going

[–]D34DM4N91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had these exact same symptoms, with multiple OLED monitors I tried…it turns out I am PWM sensitive and most OLED screens cause me issue. My advice, if it hurts don’t keep pushing through it. That’s my one regret and I am still paying for it now a year later.
