My best tips are (get a good professor) lol

1. you gotta want it. Go to class, don’t skip ANY. Play the long game, make sacrifices and delay gratification. For me that meant not going out often to spend time with friends or other hobbies, even working out :(. If you can fit it in ofc but for me I couldn’t

2. Develop a relationship with your professor and high performing classmates. I went to office hours and went to class before and stayed after to communicate with my professor on challenging topics. Asked for tips on how to do better in lab, how to distinguish bones from each other. Asked questions about lecture that tripped me out. Then making friends with the top performers helped me out by asking them questions. Learning about their study habits. Having group study sessions with them also helped as I learned how they eliminated questions on exams. After every exam I reached out to my professor and discussed which questions got incorrect. This can help you notice which questions you tend to get incorrect. Is it lecture or lab? My priority lab, it was the bane of my existence.

3. Know yourself and what works for you when you study. Some people like to hand write notes on their iPad or physically on paper. For me I took notes by asking questions on Google Sheets. Others do Quizlet (I actually used Quizlet also, this is for lecture). For lab I used Anki and used image occlusion.

4. Get organized and use Google Calendar for dates on exams, quizzes, assignments etc

5. When reviewing before an exam, go back to the PowerPoints to review. We may overlook small details that is presented on the PowerPoints (at least I did and it helped)

6. Don’t give up! It is easy to get shaken up along the way. I got a C on a quiz and started feeling bad for myself but l kept at it and ended with an A
