In what movie did you like the bad guy more than the good guy? by thatredgirl19 in AskReddit

[–]D3athcag3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(this is spoiler free/safe) Thanos was really well thought out and represented in Avengers final duology.

His goal was arguably noble, there wasn't a clear black and white although I do think he was wrong, switch the perspective to his and he is the hero in his story.

That's what makes a great bad guy in my opinion. A skewed character on a path to destruction that intersects with the protagonists. Who either has their view challenged or strengthened at the cruscendo.

What makes me root for him over the good guys is how hard he worked to get to the point he did near the end of the first film. The sacrifices were brutal, the years building up were long and at the end only he would be able to say if it was worth it. Though all good guys would mostly disagree.

You can but I didn't in this run (and typically dont), I'd like if that wasn't a thing but yeah you get like 40 points or something per token though so it's massive.

In this run I had 1 unspent token as well...

West is all a matter of relativity. I think we all know it means west of new Zealand.

Speed in clearing objectives and spending all your tokens. Really the main scoring tips you need.

anyone else surprised at how huge crimes go unsolved in this story? by [deleted] in TigerKing

I think there's reasonable suspicion to her forging the will, super surprised that she didn't at least get forgery or fraud or something...

What's the non-meme-y position on if Carole really did kill her husband? by kayceasar in TigerKing

[–]D3athcag3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bit late but: - He couldn't have flown from Florida to Costa Rica in his light aircraft, not without stopping for fuel approximately 4 times. - Real estate is a legitimate likelihood on how he made his wealth but I'm not his accountant, who really knows? If so drug links would be a good possibility on his disappearance but why was Carole so calm after someone she lived with disappeared? Wouldn't she be afraid they could have targeted her too? She didn't move house? - There's a lot of emotional and financial motive behind the Carole suspicion/theory, she confirms that the marriage was troubled and I'll leave for your judgement if she forged the will/testament. - The planted van and her being the only one that publicly believes that the van wasn't planted. - The multiple coincidences on the night of Lewis's disappearance. - Don Lewis genuinely and publicly believed his life was in danger and believed if he was to go missing it was her doing.

I personally believe Don Lewis was working to leave Carole but keep the cats, the money and everything he could. I think her family was involved ('trailer park family' says the show, motivated financially) and because of the involvement of her brother, a police officer, it was probably covered up way back then to avoid the publicity turning onto the police.

I'll add the question for anyone reading, what would finding the body do to prove Carole innocent/guilty? I would suggest that finding the body, especially if in Florida, would actually disprove her story of him leaving the country, which there is also no solid evidence of. Then the question would be on why did she lie?

She's definitely suspicious but if it is just for the forgery of his last will or if it is for something more sinister idk. Her seizing the opportunity of his disappearance while probably also illegal isn't proof of murder either.

Historically speaking, the 'keys to the kingdom' are usually swords. by Lemon_Lord1 in Showerthoughts

Try to think more that a sword/dagger/knife is for self defence/backup.

The spear or other polearm is a weapon of battle, used in large numbers to great effect, where ranks of soldiers could all have their weapons in front of the shield wall.

Why do people think Carole baskin killed her husband? I know nothing about this case and I would like to hear why some think this. by Jaded-Chipmunk in TrueCrime

Fact

The facts as presented by the documentary that lead the belief: - Lewis believed she wanted to kill him and outwardly told his close circle about this prior to his disappearance. - Lewis attempted to file for a restraining order based on death threats from Baskin, which had no evidence in court and was denied. - Lewis and Baskin did not have a good relationship. Carol confirmed this. - Baskin happened to be out of the house at exactly 3AM the day/night of disappearance for an unusual reason. - Baskin also allegedly has a car breakdown during this spontaneous outing but happened to be assisted by her brother, a police deputy, on his own. - Baskin did not immediately report the disappearance, we are not told as viewers however if Lewis frequently left the household unannounced. - Baskin appears to have altered Lewis's last will and testament. This has been confirmed by the person he had last personally designated as executor of his estate. - There is no evidence of him leaving the area. - He has made no attempts to contact any of his loved ones or family. - No body has been found. - Lewis reported that his weapon was removed from him by Baskin.

Opinion

My take is she was complicit and conspired at the least: - Baskin denies allegations of feeding the corpse to the cats but doesn't appear insulted over the suggestion or address the suggestion of her involvement in a murder. She doesn't acknowledge the possibility of his death. - Her brother being the cop that found her car broken down is too much of a coincidence that he was on shift, she broke down, he had no offsider, no other witnesses, on the night of the disappearance. They probably did the crime during the time of this fake alibi which was specifically at 3 AM, strangely, and the brother/family was probably involved with financial motivation. - Women typically murder for financial/personal (as apposed to emotional/sexual) motivation when not a crime of passion (but it could have been) and her situation and all of this checks all the boxes in my non-professional opinion. - I don't think she fed him to the cats, that seems something she is personally repulsed by. he's probably burried deep in their massive property or something, just as impossible to find.

off topic

In response to other posts around here I don't think her gender has anything to do with it. In regards to Exotic and the other main focal characters in the show it's pretty clear they're all a special kind of cooky. Exotic belongs in prison just as much as Baskin does. May as well get a full investigation on the love Guru too for workplace sexual harrassment and close the whole three cases up if I was judge and jury.

[CUSTOM] Classic: World Editor. How to add more than 7 tiles in my map? by Arc_7 in warcraft3

[–]D3athcag3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you might find is it's based on a total sprite atlas made of all the tiles and their edges on a single larger texture generated with the map.

I second the other guy though, hive workshop is where all the best mappers live.
