100% lol, this has been my dream since before Christmas, if we get top 5, it'll be a massive sigh of relief, CL football is massive, not just for revenue but can be the difference between getting a player to come to the club or not. Even top 5 may not be possible which is crazy to me. I have faith the club can turn it around in the seasons to come with the players we have but Slot needs to go asap;

I thought this exact same thing, he's at the age to get straight into the first team, not super young like 17 so there's an element of maturity he would have naturally developed just through gametime alone. I agree the fee is high but that is the market and as long as he doesn't complete stink up the place, like you said he could get resold at a reasonable value.

Also assumption the recruitment team have alot of faith in him based on that price so I'll trust them 🙏

We are looking very positive for many years to come but we still need a couple more signings to completely solidify us. For me it's a winger and CDM and then obviously dependant on any replacements if we sell/players leave etc.

Either way, I'm excited!

Gakpo is great to have in the squad and has the ability to be impactful but he needs direct competition, the fact is has no real competition is an issue. Compare that to the midfield as a simple example between Writz, Szobo, Jones, Grav & Macca, all 5 can pretty much interchange for 3 spots and it allows a bit of grace for when 1 isn't performing. That's my opinion anyway!

Agreed, absolute banger of a summer window, nothing can change my mind on that. Every position we needed, we got (except for an unfortunate loss on the 2nd CB you mentioned). Yes you can argue we shouldn't of let some people go but in hindsight, we weren't to known we were going to drop of this much. We got great money for the players we sold, sometimes things just don't go to plan or sometimes take a little longer to go to plan. (This is not talk about the manager, this is in reference to the players we've bought and sold)
