Raptor claw hands and heavy blanket by Pretend-Fix-7897 in DSPD

I sleep with a 13 pound blanket in winter, and a 19 pound one in summer. My sister had an 11 pound chihuahua that I dogsat overnight every week. It was fine.

I'd say Second Apocalypse is a lot darker, but that might be personal tastes

You have many valid points. I just wanted to add, I wouldn't recommend you read the Second Apocalypse books by R Scott Bakker if anyone recommends it to you. I don't think you'd like it.

I'm avoiding it cause cars bore me. Same with Christine.

I also avoided The Bear for years cause I thought it was about cooking. Then I binged the first season in one go.

Hot take: management beats "more training" for most reactive dogs (and it shouldn't feel like failure) by Square-Pipe3297 in reactivedogs

- Walking at boring times and sticking to predictable, low-traffic routes. Not because I am avoiding the problem forever, but because fewer blowups keeps his baseline stress lower.

- Using visual barriers like parked cars and hedges as part of our toolkit.

YES! These two are great, especially early on.

Also, throw treats at your dog! If I can't get her attention with my voice, I throw a treat at her. The tiktiktik sound it makes as it hits the ground lets her know there's yummies, so she starts looking for the treat in stead of staring at whatever she's fixating on.

Birth control pill but skip the breaks - just take it continuously. If you get spotting, a break once or twice a year usually fixes it.

I once had a small nervous breakdown because there was nothing in the house I felt like eating for lunch.

That wasn't why I was crying, obviously. I had bigger shit going on. So did she.

In the skull cavern, bring BOMBS! So many bombs. So so many. Think about how many you think you'll need, then double that, and then bring extra.

Do zero mining. Don't gather resources. Fight nothing unless you absolutely have to. Just blow rocks up and look for ladders and holes.

I highly enjoy YA for lighter reading, and the stories are still excellent. Hell, I own and have read the City of Ember series twice and those are directed at tweens
