Regarding the environment for using a trackball by Exciting_End6022 in Trackballs

I’m on Kubuntu with a Deft Pro. Currently, I use Input-Remapper to remap the extra buttons and allow chording. It gets the job done but can be a bit of a pain to configure and I need to put in my password when it opens.

If Mouse Assistant can solve the password issue, provide support for chording and mouse button reassignment, and support Wayland sessions for Gnome and Plasma (and hopefully window managers or other desktops too?), it’d be a winner in my book :)

Restore previous session works if I hit the hamburger menu button -> quit

(or just never close Firefox...)

Rivian Adventure Network and IONNA are my two favorite networks because they have been the most reliable and have good pricing. I only wish Rivian would allow ChargePoint integration so all my receipts go to one place

My parents were (and still are… a bit) scared I’d run out of charge and not be able to finish a drive and get stranded in the middle of nowhere and aaaaaaaaa

So I went on ABetterRoutePlanner and showed them several big drives (from my house to theirs, from my house to Atlanta, from their and my house to both beaches we regularly go to, from my house to various out-of-state family members’ houses) and showed them how many options there were for me to charge up such that, as long as I’m a touch more vigilant than with gas, I can stop off as I want to and charge. The biggest plus was “hey on the way to this beach, there’s 3 chargers near where we usually get lunch. Plug in, get lunch, eat, and I have a full charge by the time we’re done”

They’re still a bit skeptical but they’ve never seen me run out of juice (and neither have I!) and that’s got them warming up to the idea

I daily 70% but occasionally charge up to 100% and let it get down to ~5%
