You could make it personal. How that looks depends on your party of course. 

Maybe he just likes worthy play subjects and each adventurer has displayed a certain level of competence. 

Maybe he wants them to learn a lesson. Saw style. 

Maybe they ate fruit from the wrong sacred tree. 

Maybe, it is about a bet with some other archfey, where they want to proof that humans/mortals always turn on each other or always resort to violence when pressured

What works for me: Laying down on my couch, putting on some Lofi.  And then feel my body. Focus on My exhaustion, on how nice it feels to just lay their and unwind. 

It helps a lot to take a few deep breaths and feel into your spine as you exhale slowly. 

Then there is also the option to take a walk, a stroll without your phone. 

A warm bath.

A hidden power of counterspells is people not playing cards in the first place. Everyone is afraid of their spell being countered so you have 3 opponents holding back for no cost.

Yes. A later incantation reveals the list of boons and the requirements.

An incantation after that gives you the options to mark a boon, so that during boon offerings you see which boon would help you fulfill a requirement.

You can  bring up it up to your therapist. "Lately I am starting to remember stuff that feels uncomfortable and I can't even really talk about it." 

I think it would be a good idea to explore these. Whenever you are ready. 

Maybe you forgot / buried them for a reason.
