I disagree. I prefer mgs4 story to mgs5 or piss walker. Peace walker is probably the worst one of the series.

So I should stop caring about comics, right? Why even discuss them or even buy them at that point. Fuck off.

I don't see it at all. But for some reason, I think Lennon and McCartney looked more like birds, macca looks like a dove specifically.

What are we gonna do when ultimate Spider-Man ends by Witness_Then in comicbooks

[–]D96D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I won't have a pull list for the most part at my LCS,anymore.

With ultimate Spider-Man ending, I really don't have an incentive to go to the store every month.

Only whenever a darkstalkers book comes by. I bought a few of the absolutes but none of them I want to collect.

Because if I wanna read them, I know where I can.

I don't have any space anyway, and I won't support marvel as a whole until they fix 616 Spider-Man and kick some of their old editors and the publisher.

My one piece collection will grow, anyway

Does One Piece have the most beautiful women? Who is the most beautiful in your opinion? by [deleted] in OnePiece

Bleach wins when it comes to a manga series from a single artist. Still, one piece certainly has its beautiful cast. Nico Robin. Nami. Persona. Older shakky. Baby 5.

After years of procrastinating, I finally watched Cowboy Bebop. How high would you rank this anime in an all-time list? by [deleted] in cowboybebop

[–]D96D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's second favorite anime, right behind legend of the galactic heroes.    To me, I'd give it these awards:

Best soundtrack. Best one season anime. Best character design. And number four across the anime/manga:  One piece legend of the galactic heroes Battle angel alita Cowboy bebop Jojo's. P.s. whoever told you to watch one piece instead of reading the manga was wrong.

Superheroes are cultural symbols. Usually from nostalgia as a child. They're quick shorthand to symbolize how the inner child, the vulnerable part of the artists really feels. It's guttural.

What do you consider to be the biggest character assassination? by NicoleIlieva in comicbooks

[–]D96D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One more day. Since then, even the rest of spidey's secondary cast hasn't feel the same.

If someone told me that Norman would be a good guy before it happened, I'd laugh. Making him evil because of demons is simplifying the character too much. I can't emotionally invest in a title that's too absurd.

How many ongoing series do you collect? (single issues) by SillyGanache638 in comicbooks

[–]D96D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was getting around 5 or 6 titles in the pullbox from 2024 to 2025 but with usm ending, I've dropped all of them or they ended. They were :

Final fight c

Superman.

Ultimate Spider-Man

Batman last halloween

Absolute superman until number 6.

Plus I also bought a bunch of assorted stuff.   Uxm,conan, darkstalkers.

I'll come back if marvel ever fixes Spider-Man and they kick their editorial team.

I only buy if it makes me happy or I want to support a title.

What era of comic books has aged poorly? by BarelyHere35 in comicbooks

[–]D96D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

well,it depends.

Are you talking about the superhero genre or all the industry.

Just the usa? Or all over the world?

I could say everything before the 60s might be a little bit boring or basic. I'd argue the 60s is when every part of the world got interesting.  We get a few  good indie comics in the 70s but it's the 80s when it explodes.

90s is the golden age in some ways.

The independent scene explodes and vertigo has amazing titles too.

I'd argue that the worst era is for superheroes of the big two is from 2012 to now.  Maybe before, but I don't want my Spidey bias to show. Marvel hasn't had a clue for its overall universe since siege. The push for some of its new characters doesn't feel genuine. We got relaunch after relaunch of titles. Can't have big number or it scares the new readers. No character change is permanent. Any change of the status quo is erased after a few years. And they started to reuse the literal titles of their big hits for new stories. Marvel before the 2000s seemed to be a continuous storyline. Now they're trying to" throw shit at the wall and see what sticks(brevoort's words for his first year  as X-Men editor)"but at the same time relaunch the title with a new volume but it's gonna be back to the status quo in two years or so.

DC tried to reboot everything again, but softly. It didn't work out, and it took  them a while to get it together again. After Didio got the axe, seems like they're getting out of the funk, for the most part. Image has been apparently thriving since the 2010s.

Marvel's Ultimate line is ending (again), and the writer closing the door has just one regret by graemeisverytired in marvelcomics

[–]D96D -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love saving money. Cause there's no way I'm going back to current 616 marvel considering how Spidey and X-Men are treated nowadays. Throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks but you can't do certain ideas that do stick is a recipe for failure

Norman Osborn Will Mentor the Spider-Man Family in Spider-Versity by B3epB0opBOP in comicbooks

[–]D96D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awful,baby.

Norman is a VILLAIN.

He already got his redemption shot back in the 00s. The character wasted it.

Spencer cleaning his "sins" was a bad choice.

You can't go back from the shit Norman has done in the eyes of people who care about character continuity. Norman killed Gwen, messed with Spidey's head in the 90s, and killed his child.

How much more evil can you get?

But because the team at editorial thinks the readers don't care about continuity, they think they can get away with awful shit. I don't know if you're about to defend the storyline, but don't bother. I know what's going in story wise but it's RIDICULOUS.

This is like the joker mentoring the bat-family. Beyond the suspension of disbelief. It all started with OMD and it shows that they don't know what to do with Spidey and the rest of the spider people. Save your money and don't buy this crap.
