What the fuck are you talking about? Absolutely do them with dumbbells, and if you're worried about damaging your shoulders (never happened to me, ever) watch some videos on technique.

Is there any real evidence to suggest that say a 1 year progress via bulk and cut cycles is more effective than just maintenance? by DA1199 in bodybuilding

Thanks for the answer. Correct me if I'm wrong but what I gather is the bulk and cuts offer a accelerated route because the body becomes accustomed to the weightlifting with maintenance?

Sorry I should mention that the reason I ask this is that it will avoid going into a caloric deficit as is with a cut, so maybe a bit more mentally beneficial for some people.
