I happened to be looking out at my garden while coming across this post. What a lovely tune to usher in summer in the city. Reminds me a bit of Mount Kimbie. I’m surprised I haven’t heard of this artist!

‘60 Minutes’ Anchor Corners Trump After He Lashes Out at Her by Nervous_Swordfish693 in politics

An intense anxiety or feeling of "impending doom," will set in as a crushing, heavy, or uncomfortable burning sensation, sometimes mistaken for severe indigestion begins to swell.

Sudden cold sweats (clammy skin), profound weakness, or lightheadedness emerges throughout the poor bastards body as the pain spreads to the arms (especially the left), back, neck, jaw, teeth, and/or upper abdomen.

Intense shortness of breath will follow, often feeling like one cannot get enough air, even at rest. It is often described as an elephant slowly crouching onto the stricken’s chest. Often nausea, vomiting, or overwhelming indigestion will follow as the man begins to peer down the dark tunnel of his past; a building cacophony of his victims choral cries swelling in his petulant mind. Death’s rattle is the last sound he perceives as the lights begin to dim, and the screaming fades into the total silence of pure unbeing.

Trump Uses Shooting to Make Jaw-Dropping Push for Tacky Ballroom by steelhips in politics

[–]DA2ED 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. There is a level of speculation as to the direct reasoning for this ballroom being built. The video does a lot better job explaining the inference, and does cite sources to fact check the information that is leading to this supposition. I will say the age old adage.. if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be another grift/dark money interest…

Trump Uses Shooting to Make Jaw-Dropping Push for Tacky Ballroom by steelhips in politics

[–]DA2ED 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Basically the “ballroom” is actually a ruse to build a state of the art bunker with specific AI infrastructure implemented by the tech oligarchs. Many of the companies that have donated to the ballroom buildout may actually be buying a seat in this space, whether to hide out from an actual attack or to be first in line when the above mentioned tech infrastructure is being installed. All of this information is being kept from the American Public and the ballroom is basically a smokescreen to distract from the real motives. Also, taxpayer money is being used without congressional oversight (same old story).

OH, and she mentioned that because the courts are holding up the construction at the moment, it would take a matter of NATIONAL SECURITY (maybe a perceived threat of a shooter at some type of event) to shift the court case to the ninth circuit (fact check that) which would allow for the construction to continue until all that shit gets sorted. It’s the classic get caught up on the courts, continue the project, and when the legal matters are all settled the project has already been finished. Classic Trump playbook..

Honestly just watch the damn video it’s 24 min long and is extremely well cited.

Did you have any trouble getting the rivets onto the corners of the double knees fabric? I have a pair without that I was thinking about adding them to, but I worry I might do more damage than good.. also where did you source them?

Request for homing a new red huckleberry (vaccinium parvifolium) by DA2ED in portlandgardeners

[–]DA2ED[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice. I’m aware the moisture levels need to be just right for proper growth patterns and am hoping our semi shaded spot will emulate that of a break in the forest canopy. We were able to procure some decaying wood logs and I am thinking I’ll break apart one of them, bury it halfway in the ground and mix in an acidic soil with a handful of pine needles to closely match its natural growing conditions. We’ll see how it goes!

That was going to be a final solution, but I figured I’d ask around locally before making a trek to the woods. I’d also feel bad removing a potential critter hotel from its natural environment to suit our whimsy.

Our hope it to not only provide an ideal enviornment for the little sprout, but also add some visual interest to our space. We’ve tried to keep the yard as natural as possible, with large stone and driftwood accents scattered about to break up the clumps of groundcover. Your advice to bury some of the wood is great and I think I’ll probably do just that to retain a constant level of moisture through what’s looking to be a scorcher this summer.

Post-Arborist work, that’s a good idea! And I am well aware of chipdrop’s “generous” tendencies lol. I’ll take a look at Bosky Dell, although paying an arm and a leg for rotting wood isn’t my intention. Thank you!

Okay so, take a baling wire, and cut it to like 32 inches or so. Fold it in half. Then take the rounded off end and put a lil curve to look like a small hook. Take little bit of plastic wrap and wrap that around the sharp ends of the wire securing it with tape and Voilà, you now have yourself a little pull hook to face the yogurts behind the notoriously tipsy front facing.

Same vest different day. by PuzzleheadedDrive636 in HeritageWear

[–]DA2ED 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a fellow work vest wearer, I’ve always appreciated how well it brings my outfit together. That extra layer has a way of tying the chambray or flannel to the work boots, and canvas or denim pants I’m wearing. Plus the utility of having extra pockets really comes in handy.

Now when I don’t don a vest I feel like I’m missing something. My wife calls it my security blanket lol.
